It goes without saying, always make sure the lower control arm shaft is straight. They do get bent from time to time.

How the heck do you paint that thing once the plate is welded on? Do you just dip it in paint?

I just use engine enamel from all angles. There are probably areas inside that don't get great coverage, but it's still better than the factory did.

When I try the first method with polyurethane bushings, the shaft pushes through the bushing, and when i try the second method, they don't seat correctly. What do I need to do?

Most poly bushings require you to keep the inner and outer sleeves from the rubber bushings in place. Then they should be easy to push in by hand.

@@claytonhaske watch my video on removing the LCA bushings. The stock bushings consist of an outer sleeve and an inner sleeve with the rubber bushing between them. Most poly bushings require that you leave the metal sleeves in place.

There are a bunch of bushings out there that are too big on the inner sleeve. Quality control sucks right now and I've got a couple of mine that need to be rebuilt that I haven't bought bushings for...
