They have they just need to test it out there probably testing it now the only riddle they didnt have was the special alloys for the fins to withstand the heat theyv had the alloys for two years now

The MK1A program should not be the priority once we have tested & approved MK2 fighter, hopefully by 2026. The MK1A lines can be converted into MK2 ones to enhance its production capacities from the get go. With a modern, in-production engine that still has an upgrade potential, MK2 is a great candidate to become the mainstay 4.5 Gen fighter for IAF.

How come other countries like S.Korea are receiving the same engines on time? Either the US is deliberately delaying delivery, or the Indian government's PMO has cooked up the contractusl penalties for late delivery big time, and GE is delivering to India last for commercial reasons. The latter seems to be the most likely.

Just to remember LCA Mk1A delay Mk2 delay Super Sukhoi upgrade going on from 2011 but just paper program going on MRFA- just leave it AMCA who knows ? TAPAS / AKASH-NG --testing since 2016 Awacs program no progress Where is ISTAR aircraft, Tanker aircraft😅
