@LCARSADV definitely runs alot smoother in low rpms and responsive. Huge difference with that and DNA filter. I didn't fo the dna airbox cus to dusty where I ride but I'm very happy I ride it hard like a dirtbike so very pleased. I had to wait untill today to install slip on cus I did not order the new mid pipe. I thought about doing the delete also and running a full dominator exhaust. I'm going to see how she does with this and maybe a 14t sprocket first. But it's crushing klr and drz650s out here.

Excellent install/review, short and to the point. Going to install my FuelX lite on of these days, and I think it's easier just to lift the entire fuel tank (breather tubes on front of fuel tank have to be disconnected for that), for easy of access to the connectorts and to route the wires.

MooreMafia [US Bike Tuner] Says the TPI SHUTS OFF FUEL when you roll off throttle, When he Tunes a bike he takes that away [In the ECU Tune] So when you then Roll off the Engine still gets a little fuel making Removing the Jerking of either ON OR OFF [Like a switch].

I recently fitted a FuelX Lite to my KTM 390 Duke and it didn't have a separate earth connector like yours? (Strange). I didn't notice that much difference with a stock pipe although it did make riding at low revs easier (less jerky), however, after fitting an end can (Ixil Extrem RB) it is now much better at low revs. Making riding below 4000 revs actually possible! Interestingly, it did seem to take some time to bed in and I think this is maybe due to gradual adjustment by the ECU as the FuelX Lite basically just reports a lower air fuel ratio to the ECU to fool it into richening up the mixture. I contacted the supplier and they said the FuelX Lite made no difference at higher revs/full throttle as the ECU was then working in open loop. I do think though that the FuelX does 'soften' the sharp throttle response some what - making the bike easier to control but less agressive and less 'crisp'. I guess the stock fueling runs very close to lean and hence provides very sharp throttle response however, this can feel very jerky at low revs. So I guess it depends on what you want.
@LCARSADV
@LCARSADV 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah the fuelx handles all the low stuff and some guys install an additional programmer for the open loop. It pretty much makes the low end useable where as before you need to hit like 6000 rpm for the power to kick in.

Thank you for the install clip. I watched some guy from India that partially removed the gas tank and found better access through the coil area. And yes it’s a booger no matter what way get to the connector. I like now that I can idle through a parking lot or slowly ease through a technical trail. Is it worth the price ? Depending on your budget. Not a big dramatic difference, but if like to smooth out the jerkiness at lower rpm it’s one way of doing it. When the sprocket set starts to wear out a bit, I think I’ll go with a 48 tooth in the rear which should help even more. Too bad the manufacturers couldn’t put a mapping switch on at the factory and eliminate this problem just to pass emissions.

get a rapidbike easy or if you have the money an evo and see the true potential of the bike. (I'm exaggerating slightly but the low rpm choppiness is fully gone which I used to think is a character of the 390's) Idk if the fuel X module can affect the closed loop area. It can only increase fuelling for the full rpm cycle I think. which might be bad because you need richer ration in the low rpms without adding even more fuel in the top rpms as the top rpms are usually pretty good as it is. maybe a piggyback with fuelx might be as good as a rapidbike.

I have big meat hands too, but I'm not sure I need this. I am happy with my 390, but the only issue I have with it when riding is when I am facing a head wind which we have all the time here in the desert. With the throttle pinned, I can get to 67-69 mph. So it sounds like this would not help me with more power riding into the wind. Am I wrong? Thanks in advance.

My adv 390 is 5 months old and ive installed fuelx pro a couple of weeks back and ever since then my battery has taken a hit and it hasnt been starting now. Do you think fuelx pro has anything to do with that?
@LCARSADV
@LCARSADV 2 жыл бұрын
If your battery is discharging then you have a resistive load somewhere, it's possible the FUELx could be doing that if it's defective I guess, but I don't think it receives any power until you turn the key. So that means you might have a frayed wire possibly from the install rubbing against the frame.

@@LCARSADV the rapidbike is the best if you can get it as it can affect just the low rpm if you buy rapidbike easy or autotune perfectly for every rpm if you get rapidbike evo. Problem with fuelX is it increases fuelling with the full range. So when you bring 0-4000 rpm range to a good AFR, the 4000+ range will run too rich which makes your engine get gunky and cause buildup and deposits inside. I believe rapidbike is the only option which can truly access and make changes to the closed loop area of the rpm range.

@@bhishankhatiwoda7537 I’ll run 3000 rpm’s in 6th gear on level ground without loosing speed and still pull out the rpm’s without it lugging to where I need to down shift. That being said, it won’t pull the hills at that rpm in 6th gear. I do feel that I’m shifting less because I can pull the rpm’s lower. On the other hand when you hit the 6000 to 8000 rpm you don’t get that wow factor like with stock. Now, it’s still there but a bit smoother. I bought the X factor for more useable rpm’s on the trails. I can now idle in first gear without it jerking me around. Before, anything below 4000 rpm’s was unusable. Hope this helps
