This is a fixed blade version of the Benchmade 940, which is one of my favorite knives.

First time I'd ever seen that melted straw idea for carrying fire starter. Fantastic!! Happy 4th, buddy!

The straw trick works great. Pinch the end of the straw with needle nose pliers leaving a sliver stick out past the jaws and burn it. I'll make a video on how to do it.

Thanks! I wanted to do something unique for July 4th this year. What better than a custom red, white, and blue knife?

I dig it , as I think the 940 is one of the great modern folders of all time .

I love the 940! It has been in my top 5 moderns ever since I got my first one, just about 15 years ago.

@peterfreidel7721 I had fun making this knife. It's too late now but I found a mosaic pin with an eagle. Man that would have been perfect! There is always next year with a new design for the 4th!

@@RandysWSG Gotta love the reverse tanto! I tried to capture the 940 in a fixed blade since it is one of my favorite moderns.

@jeffjackson5331 I think it will be a really nice pairing. The knife can be carried on the belt or in the pocket. On the other hand I may try and come up with something special in kydex. You never know!

Man that's a nice one. Do you sell the knives you make?
@LastChanceKnives19 күн бұрын
@patrickmunneke8348 I have made knives for myself, friends, and as gifts, but lately I have been thinking about selling a few. It will be low volume, just a few per month. You can go back on my channel and see other fixed blades that I have made including a start to finish build series on the knife that won Scabs knife making contest. Scab also did a review of the knife on his channel. What kind d of knife are you interested in?
