Thank you for the refresher course, I took electronics class in high school, but 35 years ago, Amazon has this tester for about $32 bucks, that is what brought me here, I have a peice of machinery that goes through start up capacitors, I been using an ohm meter to check them, this seems like a better route for testing them

@@GKAgrawal2 Sir , I just found out , zero setting works only in capacitor mode : Dont connect anything to the meter probes ,then set to low capacitance mode ,you will see stray capacitance on display ,now turn the zero set to display 0 . Happy New Year

If We use the LCR meter which is available as module without any cabinet & has a Zif socket to connect components, will that give correct reading? I'm asking because I saw a video where a person was measuring Triacs & mosfets also with it Also, please tell me whether the capacitance measurement option given in digital multimeters upto 200uF will give correct values for both Ac & Dc capacitors?

Accuracy depends on the quality of the multimeter. Further DC electrolytic type capacitors have wide tolerance. So values measured may not match with the value printed.

Please remove one terminal of capacitor from circuit, then you can measure the value of the capacitor. This is normal method, I followed for 30 years in industry

no, lcr meter may not measure voltage and current. However there is no rule, some company can always make LCR and voltage current measurement in the same multimeter.
