I loved how they used the glow sticks - when they cheered for the teams names the colours switched and its so visually insane. I think its only fair we give the LCS some time with Markz just joining this year. I believe in the rebuild of the LCS, its much more watchable than it was in the recent years.

I know right lol but also for them to come back after a week and 3 days good practice to beat HLE and then take GenG to 5 games it was so close a shame they weren't prepared enough for the obnoxious draft of GenG lol and then finally getting outplayed game 5 but still 3-2 shows GenG not as strong as usual with the 3-0 or 3-1. I did not expect GenG to apart from Chovy he is just legendary but to show their weaknesses like that to T1 who has had problems with not being able to practice and only getting their super accounts just before play offs which they had to build up the MMR was so low and not being able to scrim with pro teams. I say this stuff because it seems like a lot of people don't realize and just say T1 lost so bad again to GenG and they were walked over. It was completely different this time. I'm proud of T1 and the fact they were able to make it to Grand Final and MSI. Proud T1 fAN here :D

K/DA's single release was in 2018 and their EP didn't come out until 2020. Riot always tests an area out before investing fully into it to see what the interest level is. The LoL community has a high standard (they should) but often go beyond that to the realm of impossibility due to nostalgia to the point where it is nearly impossible to meet those standards. Riot is in an arms race against themselves which will inevitably lead to a collapse bc you can't improve to infinity. That being said, the LCK intro was super cool and a nice changeup. I don't think every opening ceremony should be that. The variety of it is part of why it was so cool. TBH, it's similar to what LCS has done at all of their road shows in recent memory except with cooler team intros.

Disagree here because even if you see Heartsteel as separate from K/DA; the new expectation with music acts is an EP. True Damage and K/DA both did singles in 2018/2019 to show that the concept works, then the ante was upped in 2020 with the EP. You can't go back to just singles after that. They set that bar and understandably fan expectations go there as well
