LCS upgrades: Buffering systems for pasteurising

Focus on: The buffering system called "Hot Buffer with the CHESS heating system" (CHESS in this context is not a game, but actually stands for "Central Heat Exchanger Supply System). And another buffering system called "Cold Buffer". Logically enough, warm water is stored in the Hot Buffer and cold water in the Cold Buffer. The two upgrades together enable fresh water consumption to be reduced by more than 20 per cent -- additional cooling media can largely be dispensed with.
