She proves the point of the "strange" southern women.

from what I understand Her and Jim did not get along. Jim left the house to His Mother and the Sister inherited it from Her.

It was a fictionalized version of true events and part travel guide

I was in Savannah last week and toured the Mercer House. The docent was quite good and emphasized the antiques and William's restoration work. We were shown the study where the shooting occurred and it was mentioned, but in a low key fashion. I was happy enough to see the house. I understood that the family doesn't live there all the time (we wern't allowed upstairs where they have their living quarters so we missed seeing the famous ballroom) - William's niece in particular has been involved in the upkeep of the house. There is an extensive gift shop in the Carriage House which used to house Williams's antique shop - and yes, I bought a coffee mug. They sell the book and DVD copies of the movies and other rather nice things.

I almost get the feeling she is ashamed of Jim and his relationship with Danny. She skirts a lot of the questions and is very careful with her answers.

Given what happened she ought to be. Look up the utube interview with lawyer Dep Kirkland. Jim was not all he seemed even before the murder.

Of course she is.....she is trying to save the family name. Read the book by Dep Kirkland , Lawyer Games. He has a fascinating podcast on utube with Collier Landry

Jim was concerned about clearing his name because he didn't want to go to prison

This woman avoids/diverts many questions.

The woman can't even admit that the primary source of fascination with the house is the fact that a notorious killing (I won't call it murder) took place there. People who have taken the tour state that the guides won't even discuss the event. From what I've gleaned from the book of Williams' personality, I expect he would have been bemused by all the attention the house gets. He would be very happy to think that his arch enemies and neighbors, the Adlers, were being driven to distraction by all the tourist activity.

Who is the random guy in the background? How could he not realize what was going on? It would be impossible for him to walk into the living area from a door on that wall, because the doorway is on the opposite wall. Unless he was sitting in the other room with ear plugs in, how did he just wander into view?

He hated her . I’ve known old queens like Williams they hate women .
