I can’t even begin to imagine how much work it was to design and assemble that instrument

A magnificent instrument should be in a science museum.

Nice instrument they make at that time. Dual spring loaded gear to prevent backlash, nice.

@@lelabodemichel5162 definitely worth it for such a fine piece of engineering

@@lelabodemichel5162 Do you typically buy a bunch of instruments at the same time? I have found that export control / dual use is becoming an issue for some sellers from the UK.

@@aviovintage I have an address in a warehouse in London, so the items are stored in this warehouse and after I proceed to the shipment to France. This way I can buy stuffs even if the seller sells only in his country.

Michel - I have the exact same HSI. Best I have managed so far is to get the power flag to operate - check my channel for a video. Looking forward to your next video getting it to work!

For the moment everything works except the DME. You need a 115Vac 400Hz power supply and a synchro transmitter to get it work.
@aviovintage2 жыл бұрын
@@lelabodemichel5162 DME is probably A429? If so and you have a label generator it shouldn't be too hard to get it show some numbers.
@lelabodemichel51622 жыл бұрын
@@aviovintage I think it is a typical serial DME bus with a clock, data and a synchronisation line. But I am not sure, I will see. After quick reverse engineering I think you’re right, it seems to be an A429 interface!
