I hope you appealed that ticket mate, its its a pre ordered item through the UBER app you have a 20 minute waiting period as long as they see you loading within the 5 minute observation period. Take a screenshot of the UBER order, which shows that it was order before you accepted the job and arrived to the collection point.

You have 20 mins pickup/delivery. As long as you were parked during applicable times, ie from 10-4 usually, then appeal should be fine. Say you were loading with proof. Remember, no stopping or no parking doesnt mean no loading.

​@@richardvalvona1159 The whole point of disallowing people to stop/park there at specific hours is that usually traffic is very busy during those times and stopped vehicles will make the congestion worse by blocking one of the lanes. In this case, there was almost no traffic at all, the whole time we see literally only 2 cars at the traffic light down the road, and he was obviously parked there only for a few mins (delivery motorbike with an opened basket)... no one was inconvenienced by him so she could have easily ignored it for a bit.

Coincidentally in my block of flats the supermarket lorry drivers (tesco, m&s, ocado, etc...) have 1 man on the watch for wardens while the others do their jobs. It was a fine for parking on a red route the sign says no stopping not no parking. It is not really a parking ticket it is a fine related to a driving offence. It is is technically a commercial stop but for large vehicle only to drop off an not park. You can't stop on a red route except if you are broken down or genuine emergency.

About the perennial drink spill worry. I may have a solution!. Large rubber bands size 150 x 6mm 500g per bag. Ok its an added expense! but it will fit right over a lge or medium mcdonalds drink but at least the lid will not come off. Any brand but I use q-connect.

If you get off the bike and walk it to the shop window and park it up. As long as your not causing a block on the path it's legal. I used to park my bike outside my place of work in acton and never had an issue... The only issue was it was a red box parking area. You could have even parked it between the red lines and couldn't get done ...

I think this comment concludes the ticket situation and the reason they get so much hate. There is no warnings and they don't have the principles of a community. Any type of officers (either proper ones or just support ones should lead by example and educate / remind people about the society rules). The fine should be the last resort. You get paid fairly well in the UK for delivery, here in Australia it's usually $2 - $3 per delivery which is 1.00 - 1.50 GPB. Would be actually worth doing the job if we had UK rates, we also have the benefit in Melbourne, Australia of being allowed to park on the footpath for motorcycles.

Yeah the worse nightmare, whole days work gone in one ticket. Once got a 90e fine and 3 points on my license doing deliveries in my EU country for driving on a pedestrian only road. They have just increased using phone while driving (even if stopped at lights) to 200e and 6 points and that includes just touching the phone so even accepting an order is a fine if caught. Luckily got out of a clamp as the guy hadn't put it on yet and was understanding, many wouldn't give a shit.
