I highly recommend this Hydrolink watering system. It works great, it's quick and much safer than opening up all the caps every month to fill them individually. I can fill my 16 Trojan batteries in about 5 minutes. Thanks for the video!

You are welcome! I am glad I bought this system. I was hesitant to shell out $150+ but over the years it will more than make up for the cost.

👍. Good view on how to use. There are three to four major players selling this kind of system. They are all excellent in performance. Saves a lot of work. Just keep pumping the bulb until it becomes hard. Hard means your cells are full. Check valves prevent overfilling. I resisted these systems for years because i didnt trust them. Now i fully trust them all. You cant go wrong with any of them.

Gotcha. I didn't want to overfill them. I will be more aggressive next time.

I have been using the Hydrolink watering system in my Trojan batteries for over 3 years. Recently, i noticed my cart battery meter was going down to the red zone on steep hills where it had not done so before. I have never had any problem using Hydrolink and actually overcheck my batteries every week to make sure the battery water levels are at the correct level. This week it appeared the battery meter went down to the red area even sooner than before and this was after i had filled my batteries with Hydrolink. I finally removed the vent cap on each battery and found that 3 of the cells on my batteries had water levels below the plates whereas all of the other cells water levels were good. In talking to my cart repair shop the owner told me that Trojan has had a lot of problems with Hydrolink and has reduced the warranty on Hydrolink from the 4 years my system has to 18 months because of the problems. I plan to call Trojan to find out more about this because i have owned carts for 20 plus years and know how to properly maintain batteries. The water level indicator on each of the Hydrolink battery has always been BLACK on my batteries, not WHITE which does indicate low water level. When i bought Hydrolink I thought it was the best $200 i ever spent. Now Im not so sure and am thinking about removing it and returning to the old water bottle method.

Very simple process of topping the batteries off, I like it.

Yes it is very well engineered. I bet I can do it next time without spilling a drop in under 60 seconds.

I have used a Hydrolink Watering system on my golf cart for over 3 years and it seems to have generally worked well and definitely saves a ton of time. Recently,however, my battery meter started going into the red zone much more than it ever had before when i was going up the steep hill on my street. All of the water level indicators on the outside of each battery have always shown the color BLACK...never WHITE so i was puzzled to determine the cause of the loss of battery power. I had the batteries and Hydrolink system professionally installed at the same time. I finally pulled the cell caps for all 6 batteries to eyeball the actual amount of water in each cell and discovered that one cell in one battery and 2 cells in another battery had water levels below the top of the metal plates. I have no idea what could cause this problem and plan to call Trojan tomorrow about it. I will probably remove my $200 Hydrolink Watering system and return to my old water bottle and fill one cell at a time.

I am sorry to hear that. Perhaps there is some sort of blockage in the line?

@@LDSreliance Thanks. I did take the manifolds off of the batteries and tried to test the system by pumping water through each gizmo that is connected to each cell and they all seemed to work ok even though i had 3 cells which were below the plates in water level. Get this. I decided to put my distilled water bottle above the level of my batteries to see if that made a difference and I could not believe how much water the system pumped into the batteries that way! A couple of cells were almost overfilled! So i think my problem all along is that i always put my water supply on the garage floor when using the pump because i didnt know any better . I took the cart out yesterday and it performed fine, but i am a little worried that at least the two batteries which had low water level cells may not last very long. They are all 3 years old and i have always gotten 6 years out of new batteries . I plan to wait 2 weeks to check the water levels again by opening the manifolds and eyeballing the water level in every cell and go from there.

Good luck! I hope they squeak by for you but lesson learned.

You prime the Hand pump tubing, but what about the air in the Hydrolink lampless tubing
@LDSreliance5 жыл бұрын
The air gets forced out of a one way valve. It really is easy to use and foolproof.

I want to purchase one of these kits but I'm curious What if only a couple of batteries need water ? Or will the batteries all need some water at the same time?
@LDSreliance7 жыл бұрын
That is the beauty of the system. It waters only the cells that need water.

We have a golf cart that has this system but we don't have the pump part. Where can we buy it?
@whocares0316 Жыл бұрын
Probably from any golf cart or golf equipment supplier online like Buggies Unlimited or your local golf cart service/repair place.
