What the hell are you talkin about when you say blacks don't like polys. Blacks always get along with hamos. I'm black and I got love for the homies from WSP, SOS, TCG, and WFP. It aint never a race issue with blacks and polys and we definitely ain't enemies. If it's beef then it's because it's a gang thing. Love to all my usos

Samoan Americans like myself have constantly battled this identity crisis. At home we're samoans, but on the streets its a different story. Still yet the crisis remains. What is the answer to it all? We all agree that culture, rather samoan or not has flaws. So whats a more trustworthy standard to live by? Everything has its beginnings, and if we truly understand samoas beginning we would unerstand who we are as a people more over as an individual. Does someone have a legit answer to samoas beg?

That's an excellent question. And I'd like to try to answer it. Like the saying goes,"you are a product of your community." If we lived in higher educated community with great after school programs, and parents that worked 8hr a day 40hr a week schedules to have time to support their children emotionally. There's no doubt that we wouldn't want to gang bang and would be more interested in school and think about our family before making choices. But that isn't the case for most of us.We n da hood.

Informative but sad....I have two afakasi sons and try my hardest to expose them to everything samoan I can. I think many that come here deprive their children of the knowledge of their culture. Regardless, to where you live in the states...we all have struggles and it doesn't mean you have to lose your fa'a samoa or become criminial or a gang member. And no..I'm not some stupid palagi ..I raised 2daughters in the middle of the hood. .keep your pride. Luke=2sexy. Jesus is your only real homie.

I understand how/why/where these yourng sons/brothers of our culture have chosen this lifestyle but am sad that their choices are so violent and dark. every culture has violence in a phlephora of forms. I have sons who grow up in a violent neighborhood but have chosen to stay away from that lifestyle. Parenting is very important and best the inner pride has to be curbed. these young men will soon learn the inevitable disaster of the choices they have made.turn around boys

We all don't get along but for the most part we do. Out here in carson, long beach, inglewood, and hawthorne we are cool unless it's a gang beef. We should never let race be the issue when we all get treated like 2nd class citizens by the system.

Why be hating on Australian born Samoans, your comments are a disgrace. True samoans show love not negativity! You speak of a minority, unlike other Samoan Australians who have an eduacation,work hard and live a humble life. Don't hate appreciate :)

So another question. Culture, is it neutral? is it perfect? is it 100% right? Can we truly depend on culture to bring full on transformation in a persons life? Rather be samoan or any other. These days, SOS and PVCC is beefing. Their both Samoan Crips, yet they hate each others guts. as for Gangland on discovery, never had to watch it. I grew up in the center of it all, my family has been in this business before i was even born, the most commonly known gang in SF, Big Block.
@Redneck90315 жыл бұрын
obviously it has to do with where you grew up at. I've had nothin but problems with brothas that think 'you should be afraid of me becuz of the color of my skin' blah blah blah. growin up my father taught me that I should never fear anyone regardless of social status, color of skin, etc. And yes, I will agree that some of it has to do with gangs too. ANd no..not all poly's and blacks get along. it's just a fact
