Great video, I replaced hall sensor and wiring harness ($45 Amazon). Still has the same issue LE code and drum just does the jiggle a little bit but won't spin. Per another similar comment here with the same situation you suggested to email you direct which I did and your suggestion was to replace the rotor due to possible splines stripped. I could not afford the new rotor cost so I just did the hub part (AHL73855301 AHL72914401 Assembly Washing Machine Rotor Hub) from Amazon $10.99 and now all is back to normal. After messing with this machine and taking apart a few times my suggestion to anyone with the similar situation , just replace all 3 parts (wiring harness, hall sensor and hub) right from the start. If your splines aren't stripped at the moment they will be someday and for $11 not worth the trouble to take apart again and move the machine etc. I also left a donation as well. Thanks Scott.

I was having the LE code several times, again, and called a repair guy to see if he could figure it out, and wouldn't you know it, the dang thing started working again. He came and left because it was working and said that the circuit board was probably going bad. Of course I paid him $118.00 to come by. Then it went into LE mode again one month later and I found your video which is the only one I saw that was a vintage machine like mine and I went through the same steps you showed and lo and behold, it was a bad contact on the circuit board just like the one you showed in the video. My wife gave me a hundred bucks for not having to call the repair guy so now I'm taking her to dinner. Thanks for all the good troubleshooting advice. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

IT WAS THE WIRING HARNESS!!! LE code was intermittent and increasing in frequency. Wiring Harness OHMs were fine throughout. Read somewhere that inspection and OHM test will not necessarily reveal a failing motor/Hall sensor wiring harness. He was right, suggested it be changed out every 5 years mine lasted 14. GO LG WM2007-CW!!!! GO! GO! GO! By the way replaced the HALL SENSOR a couple times in the last couple years and then the MOTOR STATOR to no avail old OHM 7.6 new 10.4 all the way around. I took the expensive scenic route to repair. Hope this helps.

I replaced the hall sensor, still had LE code. I straighten tight bends on the harness from the hall sensor and motor to the control board. Also found two pinch wires behind the control board cover. The pinch wires I found lead to the hall sensor. I disconnected/reconnected all connector to control board. Also checked continuity on the harness from hall sensor and motor to control board. This got rid of LE code. Thanks for your video which lead me to the right directions.

On an LG top load washing machine, is the washplate supposed to move independently of the outer washtub, or is that an indication that the splines on the washplate are stripped ? Thanks for the videos.

I have a top load lg washer. It’s been throwing a UE error code quite often .And the times are off ? Meaning it’ll have like 16 minutes left to go and throw the UE error and I’ll reset it and then it’ll be like 25 minutes? Then after like a week or so I’ll get a LE error. I’ve looked under the machine and found the nut that goes to the rotor a little loose. I’ll tighten it up and the LE error goes away till the next time it loosens up. But after I start washing again most of the time it will throw the UE code and the time remaining on and off while washing ? Any advice ? Great video by the way. Thank you.

In my case, it was the hub. I bought a replacement hub but the rotor is making a noise rubbing against something. People comment on Amazon that the hub is not thick enough. Then I bought an entire rotor assembly and it still rub against something. Maybe they did not use the original hub? Is it possible that if the hub is not thick enough, the rotor would be screwed too deep and will rub against the stator?

For my LG washer, for the le 1 fault I just power off then on, run spin only till most of the water is out. If it looks out of balance, rebalance the load or lessen if you over loaded the machine. Then go back to your preferred wash cycle. Easy peasy.

Good idea JR, Many times in new rotor will do the trick. Can you reach in and spin the spin basket easily by hand or does it make a lot of noise when you spin it? Sometimes a broken spider bracket that holds up the spin basket will make it too difficult for the motor to spin the basket and it will create an LE error.

My rotor sounds like it is struggling to start. I took the back panel off and when it hums like it wants to start I give it a push and it starts moving. It will work until it stops or reverses direction . All I have to do is bump it. I took the rotor off, the plastic splines although worn, don’t appear to be slipping, maybe they are? Any thoughts from anybody? Rotor position switch? Almost seems like it is not getting enough electricity to spin the rotor.

Same problem here except I replaced the hall sensor and it is still doing it. Fills with water, I can rotate either way by hand, but when it tries to spin the drum it won't turn and you can hear a noise coming from it. There were loose magnets on the router that I epoxy back on and i'm not sure that is the cause though.

@@SheepNation yes I did. I glued magnets back on and the washer would not spin for some reason. I'm assuming it's because they have to be precisely spaced a certain distance apart. Anyway, I ordered another rotor and it worked like a charm. I had to order twice, one rotor came with magnets broke. So I replaced the broke magnets with full good magnets and it still didn't work. Took my time with it too. I hated to take the gamble on ordering another but it worked.

@@ScottTheFixItGuyChannel I bought this top load LG washer less than 4 years ago here in the Philippines. The whole bottom base of the laminated stainless outer housing that attaches to bottom molded plastic stand had rusted enough that it, one day during a wash, completely collapsed and tipped over, water and clothes everywhere. It has only been through normal use with just my wife and I putting 2-3 loads per week on average. I had to completely disassemble everything, cut 5 inches off the whole bottom of the housing, form a new base out of REAL stainless sheeting and use 100 pop rivets to attach it to the existing housing. While I was at it, I drilled 1mm drain holes on the inner lip of the molded plastic bottom where the housing attaches to to avoid this same situation again if the washer should survive much longer like should have been done by LG. It looks like a case of planned obsolescence or self destruction to me. Had the LE code pop up a few months later and your video helped lead me to discover that a wire had vibrated enough to break before the wire connector on the stator. Managed to pry the electrical connector out of its housing, unloop the wire once around the offending coil, and fed it back through its housing. Then, I used plastic epoxy around the whole area to try to keep everything from vibrating. This washing machine has become a headache. We had our 55” LG tv fall and smash onto the floor about a year ago because the one of the cheap plastic stands snapped in half just sitting in there at 2am one night. Almost gave me a heart attack. Almost $1000 down the drain. Here in the Philippines, there are no safety standards on products and very little in the way of consumer protections. Thank you for your video though, it helped immensely!
