Mon pauvre caméraman était planqué dans un buisson à essayer de se protégé des rafalles à 45knts et des 7 degrés - ca tremblait un peu :P !

The outside (in the background) looks terrifying. Where you were just looks crazy and intense. I know I wouldn’t survive either area! I bet the adrenaline was still pumping for a while after you finished that session!

Hey Brian! Yeah, the one run I did a bit further out to see what it was like was quite crazy. I ended up in the trough between two of those massive rolling swells and as those passed under me I had the same feeling as being in an elevator dropping a few floors! The distance between the peaks was about 100m - it felt like the ocean was parting when I was in the middle and I was concerned about bottoming out on some rocks that usually never surface considering the amplitude of the swells. When I saw one of the peaks start to throw about 50m downwind of me, it took a few seconds for my brain to process just what was going on!! I got hit with an insane surge of adrenaline at that point, probably the most I've felt since my first time at Margaret River in Western Australia (caught in the impact zone...), and decided to play it closer to the inside after that. Glad I did when I look back on some of the footage as you can see some of those sets closing out the entire bay and moving so fast, getting caught in that could have been really bad...

Thanks! I'm not sure this is the live version, I think just the album one, but it might sound a bit more "live" with some of the background wind noise left in, for effect!

On the outside it was quite wild! 2-3 other windsurfers were out a bit earlier, but all stayed close to shore upwind, shelthered by the edge of the bay that covered the big swell for the first 100-200m going out.
