I have managed to find the following online example sentence of future simple" " Again, with "ser" the past participle (décue) is being used - is there some rule in French about etre using the past participle of the verb when used in Future Simple?

I am trying to understand the following sentence: "il sera mis en pot". I have several questions that I have not been able to figure out. Is this Future Anterior? We have être conjugated in the usual way, but there is this past participle of mettre (mis) that I do not understand. If this is Future anterior, then the verb should be avoir, not être, right? I know that past participles can be used as adjectives, but this is not an adjective is it? It seems like a verb, "to put in a pot". If you have two verbs in the future tense does the second verb take the past participle rather than the infinitive as we see in the present tense when we have 2 verbs? I am very confused, any idea what is going on here?

I think I figured it out, "mis" is an adjective because in the sentence "il sera mis en pot", "mis" is modifying "il", not "sera", therefore this sentence is Future Simple, not Future Anterior.

The only thing I can come up with is that both of these sentences are Future Simple, and the past participle "mis"" is an adjective? Maybe I need to review my English grammar, in the sentence "It will be put" I thought "put" was an adverb or verb.
