Those door frames that Andre is ducking under are 6'10" high. It's pretty clear that in '82 before Andre's body became crippled he was WELL over the 7 foot mark. He actually was a tad under 7'4" at this time in his shoes, and barefoot around 7'2".

Karemaker He was huge. I was fortunate enough to have seen him live in his prime in the mid 70s against Don Leo Jonathan. I was 11 years old. A sight to behold. Yes, definitely over 7 feet.
