Баланс, дело хорошее и сделано все аккуратно. Речь идет об эффективности, удобстве использования и себестоимости данной конструкции. Эффективность легко наглядно проверить, поставив со стороны забора воздуха дым машину и сравнив эту конструкцию с обычным вентилятором. Это если не вдаваться в дебри аэродинамики и конструкции лопасти.

So depending on the rpm you can't randomly trim a propeller because of balance issues. If turning a randomly trimmed propeller at anything approaching fast you will get destructive vibration at the driveshaft. Basic common sense. Trimming blades can be done if you balance the cuts of the blade.

Algo que no muestran es que las aspas de todo ventilador deben pesar exactamente lo mismo para que el ventilador funcione sin vibraciones, si cortan mas de una aspa que de las otras quedará desbalanceado el ventilador y vibrará muchisimo, eso es algo muy importante y no es tan facil como aqui lo hacen parecer Quienes hemos intentado modificar las aspas de un ventilador sabemos muy bien que hay mucha mentira en este video

Remember if you try this idea and use a typical fan blade with a curved profile ,it needs more clearance from the outside of the fan diameter to the inside of the wheel...you will know it's enough clearance if you hold the fan inside the wheel and THE SPEED DOESN'T CHANGE. if speed of fan increase you now know the motor is doing less work = moving less air . Try this as you are building it...

Thing that surprised me the most about this video is he found a fan that actually has metal blades, lol. That said, a wheel like the one hanging behind him on the wall where it had the spaces in the spokes would have been a better choice for a fan since it would ultimately allow more air flow.
