It looks promising. I think it would be really good for the community if the developers released cars in updates, like the Ford GT GTE, Corvette C7.R, BMW M8 GTE and a lot more of these incredible machines that raced in Le Mans. This game can be to WEC what F1 games are to F1 IRL and ACC is for the GT3 and GT4 categories

As much as I want to love this game… This game needs a lot of work. I understand it’s a beta but the company’s financial woes and past actions/delays are concerning. This game was supposed to be released last year but instead, the release date was pushed out to February. Several weeks prior to the February release, date, we are informed the game will be released as a “Beta”. The game releases, is buggy, and lacks standard features. The Steam page states “This Early Access game is not complete and may or may not change further.” The company’s financial woes makes this statement even more concerning. To be frank, I don’t trust this publisher and this seems like a last minute money grab to save the sinking ship. I hope I’m wrong as I love sim racing games.

I have this game, and I am very very impressed. Although the crashing the mid session saves the race weekend that keeps defaulting to four hours or six hours for a race after I’ve repeatedly put in an hour and a half for a race is quite frustrating. I don’t have six hours to sit down for a race that I cannot save mid session and race consecutively for six hours.but with all of its faults, I without a doubt see some thing in this game that could be something that we don’t have yet anywhere in gaming with these cars in this game. I am very much looking forward to VR support and what this game could be. I just hope that it doesn’t take two or three years to see a final product.

Recently came across this problem. The game will show the 397 Logo when you try to play it with steam, and then... the game shuts down, as if you closed the app yourself. People say to turn off your antivirus, or if you add an exclusion for it in Windows Security, I tried it, and it doesn't work. Whats wierd is the day before, it was running just fine. Not a very good start for this game.

All the problems w/ the UI, just getting the game to basically work, & struggling to figure out various game, car, & wheel settings is why I don't play RF2 much & why I haven't bought any DLC.

Remember not to be too judgemental, folks. This is after all early, early access. It shows promise. But I think it's way too soon to fork out as much as Automobilista 2 for a badly unfinished product that in my estimation will take years to become a finished product. It took AMS2 something like 2 or 3 years to make it into the best sim out there. LMU looks promising, I love the sounds. The physics seem a tad too hard but I suppose that means this is more of a sim than AMS2, which has a huge fun factor (where cars aren't impossible to drive). However given that the early access price is $43 Can dollars, which is just 2 bux less than AMS2, I don't see the point in getting this at this time. If you have that much dough to spare, go for AMS2, which has made leaps and bounds in the last few months. Has the best VR of any sim. Has dedicated developers that are constantly releasing updates, unlike the dubious org that's now behind RF2/LMU. Given the cost being par with the amazing AMS2, I don't see why anyone would want to dish out this much for a product that's far from finished. But hey, if you have the cash to spare and are willing to support the developers, all the power to you. I'm hoping they succeed and if your money will help achieve that, then you have my respect. As for me I'm saving my hard earned cash for when this is at a playable stage.

I can go on with the poor graphics and optimization, sound bugs in low revs, random crashes etc, but this steering input that I experienced with my Moza R9 is something really really bad. I think this is the first game since I was a child that I could drive for 10 minutes. FFB during low angles is almost zero and from some point, the steering becomes much harder. I didn't have the time to mess around with settings and I don't know if there is a solution, and I would be grateful if someone who has the some issues, has found out what to do to make it better.

The driving experience is incredible, but sadly I can't enjoy it fully because I'm always driving worried the game would explode in the next corner. That's immersion breaking.

in regards to the hypercars: apparently their mechanical grip is wortheless and the game turned that slider to 1000%, high speed corners feel good and like the car is on rails but monza t1 is a snoozefest.

Your impressions of the Early Release substantiates my fear for the title. I will only buy this title when the bugs are [if] rectified. I have no problems paying a higher purchase price by waiting to spend funds on a finished product. I hope to be paying a high retail price on LMU sooner than later.

I had the same issues with UI being unuseable….i find the tyre model does not seem as detailed or connected as on rf2…perhaps this is intentional. They have polished the UI but not the bugs and issues. Needs sorting asap.

I love watching and playing endurance races. This game could be the game I always wanted but it is a mess right now. I hope they can fix it but I really don't understand why they realesed it with so many bugs. They could have easily waited a few more months.

3 glitches, shifts down to neutral from 1st all the time and cockpit view is "skewed" to the right. can't center the wheel to my body - eyesight. steering is off.

the steering being off can be fixed by going into the steam directory of LMU (steamapps\common\Le Mans Ultimate\UserData\player\) and open the file "direct input.json" and then search for "steering sensitivity", "steering agression" and "steering rate factor" and put them all to 1. Beware that if you have multiple devices connected to your pc you may need to search for the right device which will be your wheel (or just set these values for all devices) then save and open your game and it should be fixed if your other settings are correct

When it's good, it's really good. The driving feels amazing, the sounds are wicked, the AI are pretty good (not great but perfectly fine!), the visuals are good. But when it's bad, which unfortunately is more often than not, it's... Well yeah it's bad... They gotta fix the crashes, the stuttery performance and the loooooooooooooooooooooong loading times (on a really fast SSD), then I'd happily recommend it.

No viewer gang member here. Hopefully the improvements and features that were planned but didn't make it into the EA will be added at some point. It's not currently got enough for me to sink my teeth into however if they add more singleplayer stuff and the outside factors don't force the lifespan of the game to end prematurely it could be a fun thing to do offline.

From the get go the steering input is total crap, I have a Simucube Pro. No idea why, but impossible to drive this way. Out of the box ACC steering input is a dream come true, totally comparable to the car I drive on track days and the Nordschleife.

Try Dan Suzuki's rf2 profile and also check his ffb video. Steering input feels fine for me personally. Also, ACC launch was notoriously bad (possibly worse when this) so there is hope. I'm positively surprised tbh.

Thanks for the quick overview! I'm glad S397 produced this one and we can see the most recent evolution of the rFactor2 engine in all its glory. I'm sure lots will be ironed out over the coming months. I played rF2 since the initial beta release and I can say that the progress was pretty amazing once S397 took over the project. From what I understand the g motor 2 engine was a MESS of code that they had to unravel, but they really did an incredible job. For some of the newer folks out there, S397 is NOT Motorsport games. MSG acquired S397 some years back as part of their buy everything tirade. This title is pretty much S397's passion project.

I never really played rfactor2 and so this felt completely new to me. I really enjoy the game and I really hope they don't mess it up. Driving it yesterday for multiple ours made my jaw hurt because the driveability is just great. Yes there are issues, but since the main focus of the game is driving, I think you can overlook them by just listening to the sound

I have it set to 100 percent and have crashed (purposely) into a wall at full speed and only lost a wheel. Also sat on the rev limiter for about a minute in another car and nothing happened. Not much damage.

I can live with some bugs and jank, especially for 30 bucks. Lack of VR support is a big disappointment to me, but not quite a deal breaker. The really big unique rules features like full-yellow, slow zone, pace car, driver swap/times, etc were the selling point of this project for me, so their omission has me scratching my head as to why I'd drive this over Assetto Corsa besides the ranked online & AI. I'm buying it to support the studio and maybe get a good deal, in the hope they can quickly bring this product to polish with it's full feature set. I'm optimistic, but not confident.

ACC was the ultimate 💩show on release. I remember that some pro GT3-drivers tried it at the Expo iirc and couldn't even finish a lap without spinning, because the one and only car available was so bad. But Aris defended the absurd physics in the forum as if they re-invented the wheel and we were just too stupid to drive. LMU on the other hand seems next level regarding physics.
