I love *Muay Thai* because it never pretended to be anything else than the absolute great sport it is and I respect every single Nak Muay as fellow warrior. However there may be some people who disrespect you and tell you lies. So here is some *publicly accessible information* about the origins and backgrounds of *Muay Chaiya, Muay Thasao, Muay Korat, Muay Lopburi, the Kru Muay Association* and *Thaiachira* Please give a big *„Thank you!“* to Jay Jagger, Kasey Scott, John Telliper, Claudio Zanetti, Sam Jackson, Nathan Boiswert and Guy Prasertphong (links below). Their continued attempts to discredit #Pahuyuth have inspired some people around me to collect the following information for you. We hope this helps you to ask the right questions at the right addresses and to avoid spreading false information about so-called *Muay Boran Styles* in the future. *IMPORTANT:* Please check the source below for further information before commenting and let them know if you have any evidence that could invalidate the following information. 👉🏻 *Muay Chaiya* The Muay from the city of Chaiya mainly refers to a certain Ajarn Ket Sriyapai. Ket Sriyapai was the son of a governor who was active in sports promotion and brought Muay Veti fighters (Muay Thai) from Chaiya to Bangkok to promote them there. Ajarn Khet never learned Muay Thai himself. The only reason why he is called "Ajarn" is that he has written and published some (fictional) stories about Muay Thai fighters. Ajarn Ket came from a high-ranking family and therefore never fought in a boxing ring. That would have been inappropriate for his standing. His actual profession was civil servant in the building industry. Later Muay Chaiya generations (for example Ket's school friend Tonglor Yalee) mixed normal Muay Thai techniques with Silat (Indonesia), Wushu (China) and Jiu Jitsu (Japan). For these reasons Muay Chaiya, and everything that comes from this direction, can neither be called an old nor a real Thai martial art. 👉🏻 *Muay Korat* General Amnat Pookrisuk is a senior military officer who in his spare time teaches his own interpretations of Muay Veti (Muay Thai) to foreigners. Throughout his military career he has never fought in a boxing ring. He was never qualified as a Muay Thai teacher (Krob Kru) and is only an admirer of this sport. His famous „water buffalo technique“ comes from the (supposedly fictional) works of Ajarn Ket Sriyapai (see above). Amnat likes to teach outside Thailand when he is on a business trip. Because he is a senior member of the military, he cannot be prosecuted. He knows many Thaiboxers through his participation in the betting business at Lumpini Stadium. He only learned Judo and Taekwondo from his military training. He mixed these styles with normal Muay Thai techniques and exports them abroad. Occasionally he claims to be able to do Ling Lom, but this is not true. Muay Korat was never in a Muay Thai fight and can neither be called an ancient nor a pure Thai martial art. 👉🏻 *Muay Thasao* The story of Muay Thasao is based on a Siamese swordsman named Phraya Pichai Daap Hak, who allegedly lived during the Thonburi period and was known to fight with two swords (daab song mue). The authenticity of his story, however, is highly controversial in professional circles, as there are many different versions of it and they all tell different things. However, none of these stories suggests that Phraya Pichai Daap Hak ever passed on his Muay Thai knowledge (if there was any) as a teacher or that he was qualified as a teacher (Krob Kru). There is also no evidence that he ever fought in a boxing ring - especially not with swords. There is no evidence of a local connection between Phraya Pichai Daap Hak and the village of Thasao. The fighters of Muay Thasao became known relatively recently through the (potentially fictional) stories of Ajarn Ket Sriyapai (see above). Not a single Muay Thasao fighter has ever been qualified (Krob Kru) in anything other than Muay Veti (Muay Thai). Although Muay Thasao is said to have existed for several centuries, there is still no working teaching concept. 👉🏻 *Muay Lopburi* The Muay from the city of Lopburi is just normal Muay Veti (Muay Thai) that tries to ride the Muay Boran wave. The Rammakian is a stage-play that was translated into Thai language under the reign of King Rama II. (1809-1824) and thus became widespread. As a result, many of the so-called „ancient techniques" of Muay Lopburi cannot be older than 200 years. Members of the Muay Lopburi have not yet been able to answer the question of what their techniques were called before. that time. 👉🏻 *Kru Muay Association* The Kru Muay Association originated from the separation of the amateur Muay Thai from the professional Muay Thai. His sword knowledge is based solely on student sports and stage fencing (Krabi Krabong), which is taught at the university. The rest comes from Muay Chaiya (see above). *tl;dr* All major Muay Boran lineages are fake. All these Muay Boran styles above, that are praised as "traditional", are in fact derived from modern boxing Muay Veti (Muay Thai) or were made up. Riad est entrainneur de l'equipe de france , à formé de nombreux champions du monde, d'europe , de france les plus recents jade jorand, jimmy viennot (tu connais ?), fernand lopez l'entrainneur de francis Ngannou dit de lui que c'est la creme de la creme en boxe thai... Désolé s'ecrit en revanche avec un "é" et non "er", et puis on ne parle pas ici de sport mais d'art martial

@@jeanmibuzz6093 La blague je connais personnellement Ryad Farjallah pour avoir suivie ces cours pendant x..temps à Paul Bert et je peux confirmer que ceci n'ai pas du Muay Boran pour l'avoir pratiquée. Posé la question à un Véritable Ajarn en Muay Boran, en l'occurrence Maître Fabrice Payen. Actuellement le seul professeur abilité par les Khru Thaïlandais. En réalité Farjallah c'est un pâté en Muay Thai ou Boran 😂😂😂

The chairman of Thaiachira (Kru Lamp) has no qualification as a teacher (Krob Kru). He has also never fought in a boxing ring. His sword knowledge is based solely on student sports and stage fencing (Krabi Krabong), which is taught at the university. The rest comes from Muay Chaiya (see above). *tl;dr* All major Muay Boran lineages are fake. All these Muay Boran styles above, that are praised as "traditional", are in fact derived from modern boxing Muay Veti (Muay Thai) or were made up. I love *Muay Thai* because it never pretended to be anything else than the absolute great sport it is and I respect every single Nak Muay as fellow warrior. However there may be some people who disrespect you and tell you lies. So here is some *publicly accessible information* about the origins and backgrounds of *Muay Chaiya, Muay Thasao, Muay Korat, Muay Lopburi, the Kru Muay Association* and *Thaiachira* Please give a big *„Thank you!“* to Jay Jagger, Kasey Scott, John Telliper, Claudio Zanetti, Sam Jackson, Nathan Boiswert and Guy Prasertphong (links below). Their continued attempts to discredit #Pahuyuth have inspired some people around me to collect the following information for you. We hope this helps you to ask the right questions at the right addresses and to avoid spreading false information about so-called *Muay Boran Styles* in the future. *IMPORTANT:* Please check the source below for further information before commenting and let them know if you have any evidence that could invalidate the following information. 👉🏻 *Muay Chaiya* The Muay from the city of Chaiya mainly refers to a certain Ajarn Ket Sriyapai. Ket Sriyapai was the son of a governor who was active in sports promotion and brought Muay Veti fighters (Muay Thai) from Chaiya to Bangkok to promote them there. Ajarn Khet never learned Muay Thai himself. The only reason why he is called "Ajarn" is that he has written and published some (fictional) stories about Muay Thai fighters. Ajarn Ket came from a high-ranking family and therefore never fought in a boxing ring. That would have been inappropriate for his standing. His actual profession was civil servant in the building industry. Later Muay Chaiya generations (for example Ket's school friend Tonglor Yalee) mixed normal Muay Thai techniques with Silat (Indonesia), Wushu (China) and Jiu Jitsu (Japan). For these reasons Muay Chaiya, and everything that comes from this direction, can neither be called an old nor a real Thai martial art. 👉🏻 *Muay Korat* General Amnat Pookrisuk is a senior military officer who in his spare time teaches his own interpretations of Muay Veti (Muay Thai) to foreigners. Throughout his military career he has never fought in a boxing ring. He was never qualified as a Muay Thai teacher (Krob Kru) and is only an admirer of this sport. His famous „water buffalo technique“ comes from the (supposedly fictional) works of Ajarn Ket Sriyapai (see above). Amnat likes to teach outside Thailand when he is on a business trip. Because he is a senior member of the military, he cannot be prosecuted. He knows many Thaiboxers through his participation in the betting business at Lumpini Stadium. He only learned Judo and Taekwondo from his military training. He mixed these styles with normal Muay Thai techniques and exports them abroad. Occasionally he claims to be able to do Ling Lom, but this is not true. Muay Korat was never in a Muay Thai fight and can neither be called an ancient nor a pure Thai martial art. 👉🏻 *Muay Thasao* The story of Muay Thasao is based on a Siamese swordsman named Phraya Pichai Daap Hak, who allegedly lived during the Thonburi period and was known to fight with two swords (daab song mue). The authenticity of his story, however, is highly controversial in professional circles, as there are many different versions of it and they all tell different things. However, none of these stories suggests that Phraya Pichai Daap Hak ever passed on his Muay Thai knowledge (if there was any) as a teacher or that he was qualified as a teacher (Krob Kru). There is also no evidence that he ever fought in a boxing ring - especially not with swords. There is no evidence of a local connection between Phraya Pichai Daap Hak and the village of Thasao. The fighters of Muay Thasao became known relatively recently through the (potentially fictional) stories of Ajarn Ket Sriyapai (see above). Not a single Muay Thasao fighter has ever been qualified (Krob Kru) in anything other than Muay Veti (Muay Thai). Although Muay Thasao is said to have existed for several centuries, there is still no working teaching concept. 👉🏻 *Muay Lopburi* The Muay from the city of Lopburi is just normal Muay Veti (Muay Thai) that tries to ride the Muay Boran wave. It has no special technical features and is definitely not Ling Lom. Muay Lopburi became known by the film "Ong Bak“. The naming of the techniques is strongly based on the Rammakian saga. The Rammakian is a stage-play that was translated into Thai language under the reign of King Rama II. (1809-1824) and thus became widespread. As a result, many of the so-called „ancient techniques" of Muay Lopburi cannot be older than 200 years. Members of the Muay Lopburi have not yet been able to answer the question of what their techniques were called before. that time. 👉🏻 *Kru Muay Association* The Kru Muay Association originated from the separation of the amateur Muay Thai from the professional Muay Thai.
