Going to ride the trail in a week or so from Mont Laurier to St Jerome over 4 days. Riding with 3 other people…they’ve got e-bikes, I have a gravel bike, lol. Hopefully they don’t leave me in the dust. Really looking forward to the ride. Staying in hotels three nights. So, it should be easier (only 50-60 km per day and comfortable accommodations to recover). Thanks for the video. Gave me a preview of what to expect. Cheers.

Hey Louie. 1st thing I would do is throw their ebike batteries into Lake Nominingue. That would even the playing field a bit (or find different riding partners). Seriously though - 50k is a 2 hour ride on an e-bike. You’ll have lots of time for exploring! Enjoy the ride.

@@guyonabike3103 lol. I bought one of those e-bikes, for my wife. Cost too much to be throwing batteries into the lake😀. It is going to be a leisurely ride everyday. Trying to get my wife into cycling. She loves the e-bike, so far; but this will be a big test to see if we can do more of these. I appreciate the info. Cheers

Just stumbled onto your Chanel. Nice one! Did the P'tit Train a few weeks ago (North to South) as part of a 'one-way' solo 20-day Madawaska Valley to Gaspe ramble. Had a blast. Keep it up! The horror,...the horror!

Hello again. Great video and inspiration to ‘get’er done’. Hoping this September as still recovering from shoulder injury / surgery from one year ago. You need to try Cheval Blanc’ beer 😊. However - you might have to buy 6. 😮. Thanks for the on markets for camping as I am hoping to also do a there and back. Any issue leaving your car in st Jerome? Thanks for sharing.

Salut Jean! Good to hear from you again. Sorry for the delayed response - I just got back from riding the Veloroute des Bluets. The P’tit would be great as a recovery ride. If things don’t workout you can just turn around! Lots of parking in St Jerome - however you will have to pay. I did pick up some Blanc de Chambly - it’s one of my go-to’s that I can’t get in Ontario. Ride safe!

@@guyonabike3103 wow. Chanceux. Friends of mine did it early July. They were quite impressed. On my to do list. Cant wait to view the video while I ride indoors 🤷‍♂️. Going to morin heights in 2 weeks for 3 days. Da plan is getting up early and ride st agathe to st Jerome and back. Still planning for a September ‘get ‘er done’. Again many thanks for sharing. 🤛

We are planning on cycling the P'tit this coming August and thought your video did a good job showing the path. Some of the comments are also quite amusing. Would you be able to tell me what handle bar bag you use. I always take a map, but keep in a jersey pocket which is kind of a pain, especially with a rain jacket on. Having it in front of me would be great. Thanks for posting your video.

Hey Tom; thanks for watching. Sorry for the late response - I was riding the Veloroute des Bluets and I try to avoid the real world as much as possible when I’m touring! The handlebar bag is MEC branded but I just replaced it after 5 years- it was supposed to be waterproof but it never really was. I replaced it with an Ortlieb 6 and it’s much better. A little expensive but it should last forever. You should have a great time on the P’tit! Ride safe.

@@guyonabike3103 Thank you for the response. Glad you were able to get away. Don't blame you for trying to avoid the "real world" while out - I do the same thing when I am on backpacking trips. I did look at the Ortlieb bag, but thought I would just check if you may have another brand. I have Ortlieb panniers and they have worked well, so I will stick with Ortlieb for this also. Yes it costs a little more, but the stuff will last as you said. Thanks again and BTW, I like your pint of beer routine!!!
