One of the most creative film makers in history. The sets alone were works of art. The hand painted color frames (I assume) are beautiful. Melies was a true artistic pioneer.

Hi, this is an amazing video, but the translation is "The Palace of A Thousand and One Nights". It's probably derived from the Arabian Nights. I am only stating such because I was looking for source material like this and barely found this due to misspellings and the wrong translation. Thank you so much for the video!

that's not meant to be a translation but is the title used for the US release. nevertheless i have added the translation but as far as i know that title wasn't used when the film was originally released. i'm not sure what misspellings you are referring to but would be grateful it you pointed them out.

Well, one thing is wrong in the title for the US. It is the spelling of “Knights” if you really pay attention it is actually called The Palace of the Arabian “Nights”
