Okay, first off, the cover art looks absolutely amazing so great work there! Secondly, this is a banger for sure, a satisfying mashup for sure (Le Perv is a great song for basically any mashup). Lastly, I love love how these two songs combine really shows the complexity of Hotline Miami. Le Perv in the song shows the rage and violence that comes with the game. It makes sense coming from that it plays in arguably the hardest level of both games. It is adrenaline-filled and action packed, a song that keeps one going. Knock Knock in the Hotline Miami plays as sort of a weird, lucid avengeance spree for girlfriend during Assault; however, in terms of this mashup, it acts as an undertone of the sobriety of realizing the dangers of the violence in the context of the series. The bass vibrates and reverberates constantly, the synths peak out from the chaotic feeling of Le Perv, it significantly slower (? there's definitely a better word to describe it) than its counterpart. Together they represent what Hotline Miami is all about: the thrill of committing violence and feeling the repercussions of your actions. The title of the song too illuminates this fact too, "Le Perv is Knocking" with the metacontextualization of this mashup could basically say that a player's violent tenancies are reemerging. I'm probably looking too deep into a simple mashup (less probably and more definitely), but I it gave me this feeling and just wanted to share it. Nevertheless of the intention, it is still a great mashup, props to you dawg!

This was a great comment to wake up to, thanks for the read! My thought process was really just “heehoo key go brrr,” but there was some deeper thought after the fact. I really appreciate the dichotomy of Richter slaughtering his way out of the prison while jacket slashes his way into one to kill him. The fact that the songs work so well together with so little adjustment is just perfect in that way.

Oh yeah, now that’s a good one. I’ve actually considered it before iirc. I think I have it on my “mashup options” list still, which is a very, very long list lol. It should sound incredible.
