Eugene, I have a recording of my father Alfred Genovese playing this in the Cleveland Orchestra under Szell. Your tone and phrasing are beautiful... just like Tabuteau taught my dad at Curtis. I enjoy listening to your playing...

Erin Vinson he is the best lol. The most emotive oboist I’ve ever heard. The vibrato the tone; everything is just flawless

... continue now to the next phrase... the ultimate challenge to expose the agility and response of the reed ...please :) And of course you are completely right and that it is easier to play with an orchestra which would help take advantage of the acoustics, As well as the expressive emotions of the moment, which is the symbiotic inter-relationship that exudes from playing live. I was fortunate enough to play the first and fourth movements of the Beethoven 9th Symphony In Northern California for the campfire first responders. Frighteningly glorious, the 4th movement ... And how lucky are we, as Oboist’s, for centuries composers have written so beautifully for this voice.
