Pestroniks designed the FLYght Insect Light Trap to imitate biomimic carnivorous plants that attract insect prey with UV.
The trap’s patented bio-Visual Enhancer coating emits UV waves like a carnivorous plant to attract flies. This feature differentiates the trap from other UV LED ILTs relying only on UV.
FLYght’s UV LEDs face the back of the trap and cause UV reflection from the bio-VE+ sheet to attract flies. As a result, the emitted UV wavelength elicits the most +ve phototactic fly response, and the trap uses universal glue boards.
At just 1.75 kg. Users can use 2-sided sticky tape to fix FLYght on walls or use its hinges to fix it on walls.
The trap’s 8 UV LEDs consume less than 10 W of electricity to generate enormous power savings & are inherently glass-free to comply with food safety standards.
FLYght’s 3-year warranty covers manufacturing defects for replacing faulty components, allowing users to use their traps uninterrupted.
FLYght trap UV does not shine directly on the glue boards, letting them retain stickiness, last longer, and catch flies effectively.
Some governments have mandated replacing fluorescent tube traps, and FLYght is the right ILT to meet that requirement.
Independent laboratory testing has found that FLYght attracts quicker than conventional ILTs.
As #FLYght LEDs emit constant in the 50,000-hour life, users are free from replacing their trap light source for 5 years.
Pestroniks plans to include auto-dimming, fly count, species identification, and genus-specific glue boards.
