Great blog. I actually went to the riyadh transport museum just a few months before the covid pandemic and everything was so futuristic. They had exhibits and everything and real trains and basically explained how the metro would work. At the time they were planning to open up the first line later in 2020, didn't work out sadly haha. Unfourtunately I moved away in 2022 but its great that its finally opening! Miles cleaner than the tube in London I used to go on daily. And again the station/train designs are so futuristic. Proper exciting future for riyadh ahead! 🎉

I *have* to try this. I agree wjth the traffic being unbearable, and the simplicity of the metro is crazy. It’s gonna be a massive step-up from the London Underground for me. This should (in theory) help me a whole lot with commuting for me and for other people. One thing I hope is that it would take you to different cities in KSA. Again, as someone from a not-so-busy city in the country, this looks AMAZING 🤩

Assalamalaikum, how long will we be fooled. Had misconceptions about Christianity and Judaism and all these years thought that Islam is the ultimate truth. Illah is the word in Arabic that refers to God. No one should think that the word Allah takes its root in ‘Illah’, both are two different words. Because, in Arabic, both these words are used in one sentence itself. _For, in a common sentence that the Islamists use, we have both these words: ‘La Illah il Allah’. This sentence in Arab means that there is no other God than Allah! Both the words Illah and Allah configure in this sentence. Here, the word Illah is used to refer to God. That is, Allah is but a name! If we say , ‘There is no other God but Yahweh’ in Arabic, ‘La Illah il Yahweh’; here we replace the name Allah with Yahweh. And we know that Yahweh is a name._ If so, then Allah is also a name! That is, the Arabic word for God is Illah; and not Allah! **But imagine if there are Arab speaking Hindus though they don’t exist, when they use Allah, it is their Hindu God who is being referred to as allah that is 'al illah' meaning the God and not exclusively God of Abraham.**

Saudi here and I hadn't had the chance to try it yet and one of the main stations is a 5-minutes drive from me so hopefully I will be able to try it very soon. The reason KAFD is particularly busy this time is two things: 1- it's the liveliest and most advanced (I believe) metro station in the project so people are just going there just to try the metro. 2- it's the winter season which makes it one of the main attraction for anyone visiting Riyadh, from all over. I went there on a July evening and it felt like being inside of an oven! As for the other lines, Red and Green will open on December 15th, there is an underground station on Red that's a walking distance from me (Yay!). This leaves Orange which will open on January 5th. Glad you're enjoying Saudi. I thought you were Zelanski at first glance though hehe.
