I have an autistic child at home and my supervisor had the BALLS to say "oh well you've got that figured out by now" both myself and my wife need to think 10 times ahead of her just to out smart her and it's exhausting. So, being at work is a break from what I have to deal with at home. I wish my supervisors had asked that question while I was still there

And what does anyone suggest when they just lie to you. If they dont care how empathic you are, they just need to find a job that best fits them. They just dont want to quit because the unknown is scary. I say do both. Tell them about performance issues then listen.

They will find ways to push you out or out you into cold storage mode and in the end, you can't take it anymore, u resign. And they will take your rice bowl and expand your position to their desire country. Corporate world sucks.
