The First Leadership Symposium was held on November 20, 2021, at the Everest Hotel New Baneshwor.
The symposium highlighted the importance of leadership in various sectors of society. This panel discussion features Mr. Tula Narayan Shah, Ms. Indira Ranamagar, and Mr. Manoj Gyawali. The discussion was moderated by Mr. Dil Bhusan Pathak.
The diverse set of panelists spoke about their experiences and their struggles to reach where they are today. The panelists linked the role of effective leadership in their journey.
Ms. Rana Magar shared how she was not given a fair chance to go to the school, and today she is one of the champions of Child Rights in Nepal. Similarly, Mr. Shah shared how the discrimination he faced as a college student motivated him to work in the realm of social inclusion focused on Madhesh.
Mr. Pathak shared how he went from a 19-year-old budding journalist to the editor-in-chief of one of the biggest television channels of the country. Mr. Gyawali articulated his journey from a curious boy who would be intrigued seeing foreigners on mountain bikes to becoming the general manager of one of the leading financial institutions of the country.
The program was organized by Teach For Nepal. The purpose of the symposium was to bring people who are leading names in their respective fields to share their views on leadership with the leaders of tomorrow.
