Leading the Industry with R-454B: A Comparison to R-410A

AAON announces its proactive transition to the low Global Warming Potential (GWP) refrigerant, R-454B, across its product line. AAON began accepting orders for R-454B units on Jan. 1, 2024 - a full year ahead of the EPA’s mandate to discontinue the use of refrigerants with GWPs above 700. As of this month, AAON is shipping equipment with R-454B to customers.

What version hand held is gonna be required for these? Would also be nice if the wiring had just a tad bit of slack near components sometimes they are pulled a tad too tight and cause issues.

And don't forget the new adapters that are left hand thread. So now we all have to get new core tools.. keeps costing us techs more and more monies. Don't forget the 30% increase of equipment

I'd bet my left nut that 410 will work in these systems. I've used propane (R290) in some R22 systems requires less charge than R22 an is colder. This is retarded
