Some of the story is cut out as it was such a long episode and we were trying to cram everything in. We we’re getting wind pushing us towards the bridge, waiting for it to open. Jase was struggling to hold us in one spot as it was getting windy and it was pretty impossible to turn around in there as it was so narrow, we were creeping closer and closer to the bridge waiting for it to open as it was late and it was gonna be a close call 😅 Definitely have more trust in our anchoring gear after the fact but at the time of course we we’re nervous, because we’ve had experiences previously that haven’t worked out, of course this was all with our old anchor and chain thought

Awesome video, one of your best. I’m so proud of how far you have come. It wasn’t that long ago that you would have been in melt down mode over those storms, yet now you are confident, making the right decision’s, yes put your engine on, and still filming. Good on you guys. Wild pigs can rip your balls off in seconds. I’d rather sail in a hurricane than get warm and friendly with a wild pig. Re lightening if you can pull the power cable off the back of your electronics beforehand you might save the head units getting fried if you get hit. We used to have a piece of 1/2” steel mesh cable attached to the back stay that we threw in the water on such occasions to earth the boat. Ugly but it worked. Can’t wait for the next exciting instalment

Ah we were there before this actually! Just in the bay though not on the quay, I think from memory a lot of the quay was quiet shallow and we have a deep draft at 2 metres

Watching Jason with that pig was the scariest bit of the episode for me. He is so lucky he has all his parts. Swine are never pets. The hail made me remember the last time we had hail here. Chunks of ice nearly the size of golf balls. Some people had to replace steel roofs and it dented up my ute to the tune of $7k in repairs.Good insurance though, only $500 our of pocket. You are doing well to keep rolling throughout and not hiding under the blankets in a state..

AUSTRALIA gets huge hail 😱 oh that’s a relief Atleast hey. Atleast insurance came through when you needed it 😅 not always the case hey Thanks so much! I knew it would be great to show people and I’ve regretted in the past not to film when stuff like that happens, of course sometimes you literally just can’t film when stuff happens suddenly but trying to make an effort with it 😆 cheers ☺️🫶🏼

Goodness me, such drama! But let me tell you as an old bloke, that STRESS IS A CHOICE. You find yourself in a situation and you can either do something about it or you can be stressed, which does nothing about the situation. In fact it makes it worse because you’re still in the situation, AND you’ve done nothing to improve it. The sooner you learn this and adapt your behaviour, the more you will enjoy your sailing and the more use you will be on board.
