It's started breaking down since the rain came back, worked as mulch for a few years. Takes time with the leafmold, I had to leave 2 piles of it down in Dorset when I left 😬 Ta for having a look Mike 🙂🙂🍁🍁

It’s strange how things vary from place to place to place- I haven’t seen much in the way of fungi yet- we usually get a showing on the lawns & haven’t seen the ink caps up the road yet! Considering all the rain we’ve had I’m surprised. Thanks for showing us how to compost- your leaves make what looks like a superior mix. Our sky is just like yours was the day you filmed- so grey - not much sunshine this year. I’m sure the snails & slugs are having a field day this year. Opportunist blackbird! 🐦‍⬛ Ours have gone AWOL. I think I caught an end of a conversation on a TV programme saying they were succumbing to a disease. Hardly a bird in the garden now. Thanks Ziggy!

@@dianarolph1770 Might be because it was dry all summer here, just like 1976. Our birds haven't really recovered from the drought a few years ago yet. Still short of a lot of them. I just looked up the price of leafmold, not many people selling it, costs £8 for 5 litres 😬 Wonder how much a dumpy bag is worth? Ta for having a look Diana 😊😊🍁🍁
