Both - the THORN is a bit more aggressive, but they are both on the milder side. Use the blades you currently do and just split them in half.

Great video, love your channel. I've been emailing with leaf on these 2 and interesting what they told me is that there is no difference in the blade exposure on them. The only difference is the blade gap is slightly larger on the thorn. So when I'm ready I think the thorn is for me even though my skin is more on the sensitive side. Plus I can trade in for the twig if it turns out too aggressive! Great company to deal with. No brainier

Yes, here are a few pros. 1. Smaller head makes for easier more precise trimming. 2. Uses half a DE blade, which extends the use of each blade. 3. It has a magnetic base plate so loading your blade is a snap. 4. The angle of the head makes for a smooth, worry-free shave.

Hello I just received the Thorn razor (I think). My razor came in a box that said Twig (without the Thorn sticker) I ordered the Thorn and read online that it should have dot on the magnetic base somewhere. I don't see anything, do you know where to look for that dot ?

I just spoke to Adam from Leaf Shave - the dot should be on the deck where you place the blade. Twist the head open and look for the dot. If it’s not there Adam says to contact their customer service dept. and they will make the swap straight away.

Leaf vs thorn? Leaf is a Christmas tree so thorn and the leaf is the same aka E thick backing aka light blue backing and forwarding just white

Every single blade seems to help prevent ingrown hairs, but the protective Skingaurd you mentioned, it only pulls the hair and not the skin

Is this twig good enough for thick stubble? I’d get the Thorn but have sensitive skin especially the neck so I avoid shaving every day but use sharper blades. If I use razors that are too mild they get clogged up pretty quick. At the moment use a Rockwell with a 4 or 6 plate

@@averageguytested decided to take a chance on the regular Twig pretty happy with the shave very efficient paired up with a sharp Polsilver blade. The top cap on my one doesn't align with the blade though might be a design flaw got a few nicks from it

Stock up on Russian razor blades because those factories probably won’t be around in 10 years from now. Also I like one pass shaves. Does the extra efficiency warrant buying the Thorn?

I use both, it's a little cumbersome but I shave my head so it's worth. I use thorn to knock down large stubble, hair is still pretty dense but once it's down the original twig is easier on the scalp. I also use the twig on body with less concern of cuts. If I had to pick one though, it'd be the thorn.

Hi there I recently ordered the twig razor and tried it out on my face and head. I have to shave my face daily for work and would like to get away with shaving my head once a week using the same razor. Well unfortunately the twig was not up to snuff and I had to do several passes on both my face and head and it still left some stubble. I'm wondering if the thorn would have been a better fit as it's more aggressive and would ideally require less passes. Could the thorn handle 6-7 days of head hair growth without having to go over it several times? I thought about the leaf, but people were saying the twig/thorn worked better on the face and around the ears, and was easier to grip than the leaf. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Eric

@@ericbumphrey7922 The thorn makes a huge difference against density and growth. I also suggest using a sharper razor if you can handle. Feather razor blades are what I need on my head (less snagging on coarse dense hair) but otherwise any other razor blade does the job.

If you want the "best shave of your life", try the Blackland Vector. Two passes and a BBS shave. Got the Twig and enjoy that one, too.

I bought the twig for my son and he loves it, I wanted to break him away from pricey carts and it did the trick, I tried it for the first time and for me it was a bit mild, but like you said, very smooth shave. Maybe the thorn would work better for me.

Depends on how sensitive your skin is - I have pretty sensitive skin, so the Thorn was a bit too aggressive for me. Shaved with the Twig for the first time today and no irritation whatsoever (swapped in Feather blades instead of the default Leaf blades).

@@Tristin471 No single blade gives me a close shave. My Gillette Proglide and a sensitive skin shave gel give a comfortable, nick free and baby smooth skin with a 2 pass shave. My whiskers grow back to quickly with single blades. Any Mach 3 or Proglide will give a smooth clean shave. The key to save on cartridges is to buy them at wholesale clubs like Costco or Amazon.

@@misterlexx2721 To each his own, but I don’t like cartridge razors. The 2-3 blade ones are ok, but the 5 blade ones have always given me irritation. Single blade razors have been the gold standard for me!

@@Tristin471 I used to get terrible irritation with the Proglide. I decided to use a sensitive skin shave gel and massage into my whiskers after using cool tap water to wet my face. Zero irritation. My skin looks healthier , not dried out or red spots. Don't use cartridges with hot or warm water.

The TWIG is super mild - so if you like to feel more blade the Thorn provides a bit more exposure for a sharper feel.

I got about 250 from leaf products i hope they are all the hype, i shave my head and face i cant stand when my head gets prickly but thats on me, plastic razors just plain suck, this is a solution to my problem, again i hope they are all the hype

Nice illustration man, but a cup of hot water for rinsing the blade intermittently would save you a ton of water and elongates your water tab usage. I found it giving me even better rinsing for the blade.

Well this kind single blades helps you using one blades more time than the DE because you have to use the whole blade in DE razor where The Thorn allows you to snap the blade and use 1 blade about 6 times

My friend, I agree 💯 percent on the Leaf Twig razor 🪒! Probably one of the best on the market… period! I only would give one complain which would be material quality. For such awesome performance, they should offered a high end alloy version such as solid stainless, titanium or aluminum instead of cheap plated zinc 😁🤔 but in the end I wouldn’t use any other razor! I would have paid double to get a solid titanium or stainless steel body razor 👍🏼
