At age 65 I remember my mom as a great housekeeper, but I think I was not really interested in learning how to clean. And she was sort of like me in that she would rather do it herself than show someone else how to do it. I had this same attitude, so my kids didn't learn much about cleaning from me. But I think they're all better at it than me! Yay! KZbin is great for learning things like this. I'm a great proponent of soaking dishes. One thing I remember from chemistry class (high school and college) is that the best solvent in the world is plain old water. :) Thanks for being vulnerable enough to share. Don't worry about perfection. You're doing a great job!

It took me waaaaay longer to recover than any doc suggested it would after my hysterectomy, just give yourself grace and don't compare your recovery with someone else's. I so missed your smiling face and motivating videos, welcome back and God bless you and your beautiful family!

I was going to remark on biting off more than you can chew and Doctor's orders didn't sound like a complete clean of the kitchen and standing up all day - but I do know the satisfaction of cleaning a space after not feeling very well - and that feeling is healing in itself and cleaning is so grounding and can centre me when I'm feeling off

If I’m being perfectly honest, this surgery did did take a hit to my depression as well. I was not expecting that, but it was also a surgery I was in denial about needing. I had to grieve the end of my baby making years.

Im so happy you are back. I was wandering about you alot the last week. I figured you may of just been taking a break. Girl please be careful starting to clean. Please take lots of breaks. I had a full hysterectomy in 2011. Were you able to have it laparoscopic or the other way. The reason i am asking is because they had to do the other surgery. It took my a while before i could really get up and do any cleaning. Sorry if its to much of a personal questions.
@LeafLikeOnATree3 жыл бұрын
I was able to have the laparoscopic thankfully. Compared to my c-section is was a breeze because they didn't have to cut any muscles. It's been a pretty painless recovery, which has made it hard staying down. I almost wish I had a little pain to help me not over do it. I am still taking it VERY slow though. My energy level hasn't completely returned. Even filming this video it took me 3 days. You could probably tell with all the outfit changes. 😂
@amandaholt19793 жыл бұрын
I am so happy you got to have it laproscopic. Easier recovery but ya it would help to have a little pain just to remind you hey i had surgery i need to take it slow. I kniw how it is to have a messy house after surgery and really not be avle to do a whole lot then start feeling better and tackle the areas that is driving you nuts. Love watching your vlogs. You actually show real life going on. When i was watching you wash dishes and get your stomach all wet in the process i was kind of laughing because that is how i look when i do the dishes too. At least i know now that i am not the only one that gets wet doing dishes.
