Adam: "I haven't played this game in six months" damn, he was doing so well! Shame he relapsed.

As someone with a relatively newfound fixation on League’s characters and lore (thanks Legends of Runeterra) let me just say HELL FUCKING YEAAAAAH

Stick to the characters and lore and not the game, you'll be much happier that way xD.

When I stopped playing League I never looked back to playing it again. The moment to moment play is good but playing to win sours the experience a lot. You have to micromanage a lot of stuff and most of the time what makes you lose has nothing to do with what you are doing. The players create some sort of police state which makes you be a lot hard on yourself to avoid the toxic environment. You place the wards on the CORRECT spot, you ping, you last hit, you respect teammates kills, you do the correct builds, the correct items, even the correct champions... I don't remember if I managed to climb to Gold or not, because even that is a sour subject. Some people belive that if they do everything right, it doesn't matter what your teammates are doing, you can win... which is completely FALSE on a basic level.

I don't play league, only unranked Dota, and yeah, it's a team game so your sole experience isn't going to be the only thing to contribute to a win or a loss, but I find Dota games, while there is a meta, it's definitely not the be all and end all, and with so many different items, the "correct" build varies so much game to game, anyone arguing about it isn't worth listening to. In the recent premier tournament, what would be considered one of the hardest ADC's was played in every position fo instance. The biggest thing in Dota Pro games is being able to flex pick heroes between different roles way more. It also means theres a lot less people only maining a couple of heroes. The biggest thing IMO to "getting good" in those games is to disengage your own performance from winning or losing.

@@345tom Yes, the actual thing you need to get better "Trying champions in different scenarios", is something discouraged by the general player base. You can theory craft builds, but that's just numbers and not gameplay. Like how some FPS show you the raw data of damage for a weapon, but that doesn't reflect your performance with them.

i love the idea of watching you guys as a full stack playing this game but I cant help but feel just watching a strict mid lane perspective feels like were missing a lot of the collabortation and broader context of the game. I cant think of a great fix besides just having a spectator camera person however.
