League of Legends New Player Experience - First Impressions - Should You Play in 2021?

This is my League of Legends new player experience, it is my first attempt at PVP in league of legends (LoL) - the gameplay here is my 3rd PVP game ever on blind-pick.
I've really enjoyed my time so far in League of Legends and I suspect I'll be putting in many more hours on this game!
I hope that the video may help some new players or returning players answer the question: is league of legends worth it in 2021.
Any feedback regarding gameplay tips and improvements will be gratefully received as I'm a completely new player to both League and to the genre!

Pick friends to play with, and stay away from ranked. That's the advice from a league player that knows the hurdle of getting started. It's toxic, but quite fun if you and friends play together.

Personally I'm really good at NOT getting too addicted to games these days - I used to be REALLY bad, but I think more about what to play for the KZbin channel now! Just about to start a 2nd channel in fact, doing let's plays etc and then using the footage to make reviews

I tried the game maybe 3 different times with 1-3 years between attempts. Every time I began the learning phase I was berated up and down every match (unranked). Decided I may be too stupid to play this game lol, pretty fun and the art style/lore is cool though.

please dont waste your time with this game if u will go to ranked you will just suffer as newbie people are terrible and ready to torpedo your game for some minor offencse adc and sup roles are useless even when fed when your team sucks and dont try to help you when playing adc or sup u better have your mate cuz randos can do whacky shit ps elo hell exists

I love this man. I am in your shoes. Very late to the LoL party. I do thoroughly enjoy watching the pros and Worlds. It can be fairly intimidating to start playing. I think you're right though. I just need to stop waffling and hop in.

Funny you say that, the very first match I ever played in DotA 2 I went Witch Doctor and ended up being cussed mercilessly by my team for not knowing wtf I was doing. Both of these games are very daunting to get passed the learning curve, which is a shame bc they both look pretty fun and LoL has awesome art style and lore.
