There‘s a lot of actual singing and usually the mic isn’t off, but in those important moments the song gets put on and is louder than the singer. And I think that’s totally fine, if the singers also perform the song with dancing and acting. Edit: Keep in mind even Ariana Grande one of best vocalists cannot sing that loud and stable when she’s moving around

A shame they wasted so much of the arena with that useless stage in the middle of the crowd. I absolutely hate this kind of stage. Looks so empty. Maybe the main reason why this opening ceremony was so bland. (I liked this part though - but mainly because of the song)
