League of Women Voters of Westchester The Untold Story Event

The League of Women Voters of Westchester, The YWCA of White Plains & Central Westchester, and the Westchester County African American Advisory Board welcome you to The Untold Story: The Alienation of Black Female Suffragists and Women of Color. Dr. Carol Faulkner of Syracuse University enlightens us about racial injustice within the suffragist movement, and then follows with discussion. This event is part one of a dedicated effort for women of Westchester County, NY to learn the history, discuss the issues, and start to develop action plans for our community.
