But I do like the idea of her taking something like an eye from him, but I think the bit at the beginning showing her before losing her eye is when it took place, when whatever unseeable force attacked her during her training (just as a little bit of backstory for her character)

I love that this event plays with the original LoL lore - where Summoner's Rift was indeed an in-universe arena where the champions competed. Love it, it was the first thing that made me fall in love with the game 10 years ago. Now the lore is completely different and I get why, but I always missed this "competition" aspect of it. Love this gamemode, the lore/theme, the music... I hope it stays forever

In the old Lore, due to the runic wars that almost destroyed the world, people choose yo create the summoners rift between demacia and noxus (because they were always fighting) a place were summoners from runeterra could go to fight yo choose Who was right in a disagreement, so lol players are summoners that summon champions (Who choosed to join the league of leguends according to the old Lore) to fight on the summoners rift

This was a good cinematic, probably the best use of the Hades-esque art style, and personally I find it to be pretty thrilling. It's impossible to deny that going towards a more anime aesthetic stops this from transcending its genre the same way Awaken, the Call, and K/DA do. The same is true of Star Guardians, but Star Guardians has a mass appeal because it draws from the massive fanbase of Sailor Moon and other magical girl anime, whereas this draws from Guilty Gear/JoJo's, which are less broadly popular.
