The first piece was "12th St Rag" written by Euday L Bowman; the next was "Maple Leaf Rag" by Scott Joplin; the last was "Black & White Rag" by George Botsford. Vess L Ossman was a wonderful banjo player but did not write any of the tunes played on this video.
@Ragtimer9512 жыл бұрын
@fiddlestixgirl24 The BLACK AND WHITE is a favorite of mine too! The only thing I don't like is the fact I can't get my fingers to play those arpeggiated sixteenth notes in the second and last strains! It's still a fun one to play, though!
@djwhiteraven15 жыл бұрын
Erin;s original electronic piano was a yamaha p200. Agnes's Keyboard is or was a Yamaha X5...I think.

It's the A strain of George Botsford's "Black and White Rag" from 1908. It's a great rag, but really difficult to master. The arpeggiated 16th note runs in the second and last strains are difficult (for me) to play. The main 3 over 4 melody is really easy, though.

@gabbyfromTX You know what would be interesting, is if they layered George Botsford's "Black and White" with Winifred Atwell's "Black and White". Some sections wouldn't line up exactly, but I'm sure they can make it work. :)
