The speaker chassis are fast. The do not produce bass where there is non. With a Sugden A21 SE or Tube amp they sound glorious.

Nobody can agree on sound but even besides KZbin compression, I doubt many people are listening to this on reference level thousand dollar headphones via reference DAC and amp.

I would not say these sound warm. The have a clarity, crispness and dryness to counter the fluffy, slow and unmusical sound that the sister brand Wharfedale goes for

Am guessing Dovedale’s are “darker” and more rolled back, I would actually want to see a comparison of the Atalante 5s or KLH Model 7s

The dovedale chassis are slower and clunkier than the hard foam sandwich chassis. The LEAK Sandwich sounded already in 1967 very "modern" - than means fast, non distorting, neutral but still on the warm side giving a very full sound with plenty of texture.

They are hard foam speakers. Aluminium is only a thin layer to place the hard foam on -> Sandwich

Sounds harsh and without clarity. Bass is bad. Highs are.. are not. Worse than Wharfedale Linton. They somehow also manage to look cheaper than Lintons. Sound impressions are based on this demo alone.

These are not aluminium speakers, they are hard foam speakers aka "Sandwich". The Aluminium is only to carry the hard foam and could even be removed. That would look ugly though.
