Had a Numark NS7ii and with motorized jogs, 4 channel board. It was a TANK!!! Mobility was backbreaking. Love the product. Go easy on the weight for us old guys. Rane and Serato, you rock!!!

Did people forget about the NS7 mk II? This concept has been executed before… Rane has now come out with updated versions of Numark’s NS7 and v7s… the Performer just makes sense…

Thanks for your thoughts, T! Happy for my turntablist peers. Glad to see that Rane is listening. But for myself, I want a “Rane One MKII” or “Rane 2”: 2-Channel Rane 4 basically so on board stems control, jog wheel displays, but add knob stems EQ like the Rev-5. Take. My. Money. Maybe my dream will also come true 😅. I’m ready to leave Pioneer but they always get it closer to my ideal setup.

Now truthfully, my preference would be for an NS7 IV, but this is perhaps the next best thing for a 4 deck motorized DJ controller with onboard effects and stem separation.

Me too waiting for Prime 4M with a mordern touch is the game changer we need.... but it seems InMusic is trying not to undercut the Rane One but then a gain, it would seem to me the Rane Crowd is different from the Denon crowd especially som of us life time Denon devotees (i learnt DJying on twin CD players DN1800f in 2000🤗)

I had my Rand Four all of 3 weeks, really like it alot but the jog wheel issues were absolutely destroying my opinion on it. Especially considering a lot of reviewers are stating the same issues I had. I ended up getting rid of it but definitely one of my favorites when it first worked before the jogs progressively got worse.

Random random story….about 2 months ago-I was looking to get a Rane four or a PerFourMer MKII Quad Analog Synthesizer Desktop Module… during my diggin to see the best price for the synth-I saw-while also looking for a rane four-some over seas company had the rane perfourmer listed… I thought-why is this rane four price so high compared to other rane 4??? Then kept it moving. I’m predicting $1999-although it might have been listed for $2500. But I think $1999… Now it makes sense

There's gonna be some person out there thats gonna be like "make it 10 inch platters" lol even though majority of everything that was being asked is there. To add on: I really believe that these companies need to make a fairly barebones controller that has the things majority of people use. Like we dont need fancy gimmicks just give me echo and reverb effects that arent software effects, 4 channels, etc etc. basically all the stuff most DJs clammor for.

If these guys at rane smart... They will do a stand alone platter-only version as an additional stuff that works in tandem with this unit... something line the numark ns7 mk3 and the V7... so one can buy the stuff and add 2 more platters with all the performance pads and stem options... but only if they smart enough... I wanted to jump on the rev7, but those anoying platter isuues (slow down and reverse stuff randomly....) I owned ns7 mk2 for years... and loved many stuff on it... but always missed 2 more motorised platters with the pads... And those were reliable workhorse... weight a ton, but still a lot less than 2x1200's and mixer... not mentioning the 2-300 vinyls lugging around with them... If it will be as reliable as the ns7 units... I might get one, but yeah... for a proper 4 ch mix, one needs 4 platters as well... just look any 4 ch performances... like this james hype guy, or dj blacklee (6 channel mixes with 260 tracks per hour) You can't do many desired things if one got only 2 platters... I wanted to get 2x rev7 units to get all the things I need with a hacked 2 to 1 earphone adapter (left rev7 on left earcup, right rev7 on the right earcup... but those platter issues stopped me to jump on the bandwagon) And ever since rane is under InMyshit I dropped the possibility to get any rane product... but who knows... will see in a few weeks...

How sad. Like the Rane Four, and unlike the Rane One, it won’t work with anything but Serato. You can tell because of the in-jog displays. After your recent rant about controller support in Algoriddim DJay Pro, it sounds like Rane is NOT listening to some of their customers.

This product surely has been in the making before AT took over Serato. The big news will probably be then for next year when they provide EngineDJ or integrated with a Rane controller or as an add-on screen. That would be a logical step I think.

I bet that thing is 30lbs+. Looks real beefy. I know there is the occasional person asking for a 4 channel moving platter controller in the chats, but i just dont know how big of a market there is for something like that. It would seem that most 4 channel mixer users also use CDJs. So the moving platters just seem kinda out of place to me with that mixer layout. But maybe it will excel in all the areas that the Rane One lacked with just 2 additional channels. Im guessing $2300 price tag.

Would never buy another Rane product new. 3 Months after buying the Four on lauch, the price dropped £300. Which devlued the the product substantially. Its now worth over £500 less second hand. So unless you are 100% sure you wont resell, don't get stung like the orignal Four buyers have been.

Numark released a four channel controller with 7” motorized platters, screens that shows Serato waveforms, and now supports STEMs, back in 2015. There’s nothing innovative about this. Come on inmusic, step up your game!
