LEAKED: Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters, Uni Monster, and Uni Angel!

Join me as I sit down and discuss a couple of huge LEAKS that were discovered around the Tamagotchi Uni brand. Recently a listing showed up on ZeninTCG.com stating that a couple of new Tamagotchi devices are coming our way! This listing has been since taken down, but I took a screen shot of it and in this video I talk about what we could possibly see this year from the Tamagotchi brand based on how things have gone in the past.

After the reveal of the Tamaverse Portal, I think the most likely scenario is that they are basically standard Unis with special shells, but you get an exclusive code bundled with these themed Unis to get access to the special Characters and items. Kind of how it was wirh some of the Smart's bundles.

I'd really love more videos in this style in the future! For the Uni, I was hoping that we would be able to purchase small DLC packs with new and themed characters/items/food/etc. I can't justify spending money on a new Uni, but I'd be really interested in new ways to add more content to the Uni I already own. I'd so love Sanrio characters on my Uni!

Thank you for the feedback! Yes I agree I too was hoping to be able to purchase DLC packs kind of like how we were able to buy SmaCards for the Smart. I'm curious how this will work if and when they do introduce new content.

They recently made a Tamagotchi Ocean themed shell for the Tamagotchi Original reprints so I wouldn't put it past them to just make Angel and Devil themed shells for the Uni. But I really do hope it's a modern version of those devices. I wouldn't mind a gen 1 and gen 2 themed uni either, I frankly always liked vintage era Tama designs more than the modern ones, so I'd be all over that. Also, don't know if you're keeping up with Gigapets, but they just shadow dropped Bunny themed pet two days ago. Looks pretty cute, and I've found Gigapets to be pretty hearty, so they're kind of perfect for busy people, much like the Nanos.

I saw that shell for the original tamagotchi, which is another reason why I'm afraid the angel and devil themes will just be for the shells and not the actual content of the Uni. And yes, I have been keeping up with Gigapets! I follow them on Instagram so I see when the new ones drop. I have ordered one for myself and will review it on the channel once it comes!

ZeninTCG is based in Singapore actually. I order from them all the time too but they are a bit slow in delivering because they have to get their stock from Japan before they can then send out shipments to customers. I really hope the Monster Uni is a colour remake of the Devilgotchi. And a colour remake of the Angelogotchi but really hoping for the devil because my black Devilgotchi device is my favourite vintage Tama I own. I replaced the screws and keep it in immaculate condition and it’s worth a lot (but I’ll never sell it).

Hi Michael! I knew you'd correct me if I remembered the country wrong. You were the one who originally told me they were in Singapore. Not sure why I thought Korea lol :) I'm so jealous you have a devilgotchi. I would love to see a remake in color, but with it keeping the Uni name I'm not sure how much of the original device we will get in it. I guess we'll have to see what is actually announced.

It’s exciting to wonder about what new releases could arrive this year! As for me, I’m secretly hoping we will get the release of an Alien GigaPet, I know they announced the bunnies for Spring, I just think an Alien for Fall/Halloween would be so much fun. And I also dream of a GigaPet with a rechargeable battery/backlit screen like the Uni has. I know GigaPet isn’t the same as Tamagotchi, so sorry to veer a bit off topic, but those are my hopes. But the Devil Tamagotchi does sounds fun!

GigaPets discord server announced they have four more projects in the works that will all release this year if things go according to plan. This on top of the digimon pendulum colors and inevitable wave 2, it's a pretty stacked year for virtual pets so far.

You aren't the first to post saying you want an updated version of an old gigapet. I got a comment from someone just a few weeks ago asking about the Micro Chimp. I have a lot of hope that they will continue their Collector's Edition series as it is selling really well. Can you imagine a color Gigapet?! I'm not sure when I will get to it, but I was going to make a video about gigapets just like this one where I talk about what could be coming. I'm excited!

The pink Uni is on sale with Amazon for $35 so I jumped at that opportunity. But goodness gracious, I hope if the Angel/Devil gotchis are updated in some format, that they also update the OG Uni as well 😭 I would assume they would, if they're all the same price point, right? RIGHT???

I have the Sanrio mix as a souvenir during my family trip to Hokkaido and loved loved loved it but couldn’t get myself to justify getting a meets since the prices are so high now 🥹 Really looking forward to a Sanrio-themed uni! 💗

If the latest unis are merely updated shell designs, it would be a massive oversight and demonstrate a profound disconnection between the company and its audience. It would be better if they postponed the launch to introduce new characters and gameplay elements rather than settling for mere aesthetic changes. Collecting multiple shell designs at such a high price point doesn't make sense. While the original, more affordable shells might justify collecting, spending $75 each just for a different shell design seems excessive. Most people would probably limit themselves to two at most, just so they can pair them together.

Loved the video Jill ya I saw this leak last week and was so stocked! I never got around to getting the sanrio meets and would love a English version too it is so a dream! I kinda wish it was coming out sooner since I'm going to Japan in April but I guess I just have to wait till July :P BTW lived the video format like this I'm down for more like this.

I'm excited to find out! I like this style of video from time to time. Though I like the vlog style as well. What are your thoughts on customizing the faceplate for the uni? I've seen a few videos on that.

Don't worry the vlogs aren't going anywhere. I just filmed one this past weekend :) For me, I think it's very cool that people are customizing their Unis. I personally don't want to change mine though.

First, your video style is very nice! I like it 👍 My personal thoughts and predictions of new uni's... Tamagotchi Angel & Monster might be a reboot of the originals of those Tamas, but im thinking they will be updated for the Tamagotchis we have in the uni's, like a Woopatchi Angel or a Woopatchi Monster, version of the Tama from the uni. I also think they will have different games and every now and then there will be a bat that you need to shake or run from. New shell, New wrist bands. With the sanrio, I believe it will be similar to the Meets and mix with Sanrio characters for the uni, different games, rooms, and a few new items. Also unique shell and wrist band. What I hope... I miss the gene mixing, I know it's a controversial thing, some like, some don't. For me the uni would be near perfect if it had the option. When you marry, it could ask "would you like to mix genes..." or something similar, and you have the option of yes or no. If no, the uni would function like it does now (for those you dont miss the mixing), for yes, it will mix the genes of the parents and get you a new tama. That way, in my opinion, more potential of long term play, and more reasons to buy these new and upcoming Uni's. Anyway, if you've read this far, thank you! We will have to see what happens! 🎉😊

I think monster and angel versions of the Tamas we have now would be pretty cool. And you aren't the only person who has mentioned gene mixing. I know a lot of people miss it.

Gen1/Gen2/Nanos have good sales, and that is why they keep selling them :D I would also like a remake of Angel/Devil/Ocean etc. but I worry that they wouldn't sell the way the original ones are and that is why they aren't doing it :(

I had resigned myself to the fact that I would only be able to run the tamagotchi devil on my phone (using an app to emulate the old tamagotchi monster phone app) so I would love an updated devil/monster 😍 and the sanrio one. Same!!! I always wanted to play with a Devil but that price is awful. Also i really loved seeing the devil in color in the app. So i always hoped someone would release the app in a tama form or a new rerelease from bandai. There's a total of 21 tamas in the normal uni there's 12 characters in the normal devilgotchi. So i feel like they can use half the normal uni characters dressed in the smart card Halloween fashion. The rest of the characters can stay the way they are in the devilgotchi. Hopefully the controls can be a hybrid of devilgotchi and uni though. But if they follow that concept this could be one of the best tamas because it brings both old and new together!

Umm... YES. There are rumors of new ones coming out this summer, but the original ones have been on sale since the holidays so you aren't paying full price for them anymore. They have a lot of customization and monthly games to keep you engaged with it for a while.

I've heard stories of people that own the devilgotchi that it wakes you up during the night for no reason, which honestly is a nice feature, but makes me want to stay away from it even more
