My Sisters Animal Jam Account Keeps Getting HACKED

I feel like the jam-a-gram didn't mean something inappropriate or something weird. I feel like it probably meant to say '' I am not your sister '' or '' I hacked this account '' and then a laughing hyena and a phantom emoji because maybe they thought that you would be shocked and probably be fooled that it was your sister. But however, we cannot truly confirm that because it says '' Animal Jam Rocks '', it could mean anything!

This happened to my sister's account as well after getting hacked multiple times even after changing she was still getting hacked we've put two step on but her Gmail notifications keep blasting asking for the step code we are unsure why because she's never been in any websites she shouldn't be nor been in the hacking video's.

Im sorry that happened to your sister's account! Hacking is still quite common now; recently I was online when my *spare*, Corgiuniverse33 jam-a-grammed me. Probably was leaked on some sort of hacking websites, like you said. The avatar on my spare was now just a plain black character with black eyes, although I'm sure it is changed now. I did not take this seriously. *The account did not own any good items at all, only starter items and a few in-store sapphire items.*

OH AND YOU ALSO SHOULD PROBABLY UNFRIEND HER ACCOUNT... they could also somehow get your's too and mess around with it a lot, since you have betas and rares, i assume they would try to do the same to you and put it up on the dark web.

Lots of people said me so I said there’s no drop they replied with someone named minecraftlover2014 said there was and my username is minecraftfan2014 and they traded me and said:i will do worse good luck lol they traded me again and said if you give me items i will be safe so I gave them super rare stuff and they said you are safe now and the people tried to comfort me but I felt like i had a heart attack and the person who did minecraftlover2014 was a black wolf with all white eyes and they are a new jammer ! Report and block them please!

My brother actually told me a bit of important information recently. It turns out that even if you set up two step verification, you still can be hacked regardless. It doesn't even add a layer of protection, because hackers can always have access to back doors in your accounts. So the tragic truth is there is no such thing as a completely safe website. I believe my brother about this because his literal job is working with technology and he is big into code and programming. I'm saying all this since this picture is about a hack that happened recently to Leamon Puppy's sister. I just want people to be aware that this is actually much more common than you would think. So my advice is to change your password every 3 months, most of the other games I play say that a strong password includes 1-2 words, at least 2 capital letters, 3 numbers, and some sort of marking like ! $ or =. I'm not from Animal Jam HQ. I'm just someone who has happened to have been hacked before and was able to protect my account by doing these following steps. Also three months seems like its too often, but it really isn't if you take into account how fast technology is evolving. I also suggest making at least 2 spare accounts that you can divide your rarer items onto so that way if you go on vacation or can't be on Animal Jam for a while, the stuff you own that you really like will be safe. So yeah, these are at least my tips to keep your account from being hacked. You don't have to use them. I just thought it would be helpful for me, a person who was hacked when I was a younger, give valuable tips on how to better protect your accounts from those sneaky lazy thieves. Enjoy! P.S: These tips work on other games too not just Animal Jam!

Something similiar happened to me before too, except on Classic. I was playing Animal Jam, saw my sister was online, so I followed her, talked to her a bit, went upstairs to see her playing, but she wasn't even on her laptop. I went back to the computer I was playing on and told them they weren't my sister, I brought my real sister down to let her talk to them (while I was still logged in, btw, so she was using my account to argue with them) and eventually they settled on letting the hacker keep the account since my sister never uses her account anymore

similar experience, also on classic. me and my cousin (same age) once shared an aj acct since my first one's password wouldnt work anymore so she let me share her acct. we had a few rares and good ideas, and animals aswell. one day, we log on to see that almost everg we've worked up to was gone. apperently, my cousin had shared her password in hopes of getting i think an orange long spiked collar. i remeber being super upset bc we had a den bunny plushie promo where it was pink with a purple butterfly hair-thingy. i have the irl plush from that but i was super upset. everytimg we bought good ideas like rims, expensive items, eect ect, it would all be gone within a matter of hours. after a week or so we just went on to make our seprated accts which one would become lost due to aj becoming classic. RIP owlstar45, you will be missed dearly. her acct is still active tho lol

The info connected the the account is most likely only the email but majority of these hackers don't have that info because the data breach only released hash's (hashs is a way of putting passwords in a format that should be secure, example c064d9c0767bc6e887cc265e97651647) so i doubt any of these "hackers" have any real personals info :)

So most likely it’s a what’s called a hit. It means it’s hacked and while it might be on the website it probably has also been sold where people get a certain smoking of access time. Though if that was the case the password would change. I just would think it’s been sold at least once.

When I was new to AJPW, back in 2018 I was a non-member and had asked my buddy to feed my pets in a Pet Station. (Looking back probably wasn’t the best idea) But anyway I had traded them a couple of times in a few days, and then one day they were going to trade back my pets, but I had glitched at that moment. When I had logged back in they didn’t have them and I saw that a random hammer had them, when I asked they said they had traded the pets to me. It was a weird experience because my buddy and I are really close in-game and in real life. I eventually moved on from the experience but it was still pretty weird..
