‘We need to Lean In to the sovereignty of God’ was a phrase that Nathan found himself saying to Lou (his wife), when various aspects of their future seemed uncertain and vulnerable. As is common for this songwriting couple, the phrase evolved into a melody, and a song began to form. "Lean In" has since become a source of encouragement for many facing unknown futures and difficult paths.
