Hey Jason, I’ve read your book Elevating Superintendents, and the Lean Builder so far. I’ve also ordered your other book, The art of the builder - Takt planning, and I also ordered the Takt planning guide. What else do you suggest for me my friend?

Hello Jason, first off thank you for making these videos, as a brand new green 25yr old into the construction super business I am sort of at a loss. I understand what we’ are supposed to be doing but feel I am not at the level I should be to be preforming. You recommend 4 skills (leadership, technology,dealing with people, and construction methodology) do you have any books you’d recommend in these specific fields? I’d like to impress these folks who gave me a shot at a good paying job. So any info would be a blessing.

Hey Jason, How do you prevent from running around like a mad man on your sites? Sometimes proper planning and meetings seem to still not work. At the same time how do you not let your subs run you over?
@jasonwilliamschroeder5 ай бұрын
That is a big topic. I rely on well run meetings with a focus on stability and good communication.

Brother I gotta ask, I’m 24 and have been trying to get your position for quite awhile but it’s hard over here in the DFW area trying to talk to anybody/recruiters on LinkedIn and directly. Any advice? 😅

@@Joshiglehart what are the details? What position are you applying for? And what has been their response?

@@jasonwilliamschroeder I’m applying for Asst. super with a “short history” currently in concrete testing/temporary power. Half of the time when I’m able to find recruiters on linkedin I ask them for a quick 5 min call on what is their “ideal” candidate and the steps I can take to get there; I get left on read a lot and the times I do manage to secure a interview when it comes down to the decision,my lack of experience is what nails me. I’m almost done completing my 30 hour but I’ve been trying to figure out what else I can do to makeup for that gap of experience.
