There are three types of Contraltos, Coloratura, Lyric and Dramatic. Diana is alone in being a performing Dramatic contralto(As far as I know). Rarest voice type on Earth and IMO the most emotive, you feel it throughout your body. Cher never made me cry, Diana can do it in six languages. Her range is also beyond what was considered the normal "limits" of a Dramatic and is still expanding. She's unreal.

@@ultrax2002 Огромную роль в её стиле играют вокализы ,которые она умеючи вплетает в любую исполняемую ею вещь. Надеюсь Дианастиль таки будет принят,как рок,поп,фолк,джаз и прочая,прочая,прочая. Human , с 1.48 до 2.14 ,Реченька - это вообще особенная вещь в её репертуаре,там один эффект подгоняет другой (вообще немыслимая вещь! ) или Голосом твоим kzbin.info/www/bejne/qKvTm5qcoLlgZrc , где начало и конец песни - её,фирменные,а также с 3.01 до 3.23. И таких примеров можно привести достаточно много. Кто кроме Дианы так делает я не знаю,мне кажется это чисто её,присущее пока только ей. Наверняка многие изредка делали подобное в своих отдельных произведениях , но системно это использует и совершенствует только Диана. И это её Дианастиль ( Dinastel).

Diana learned to sing by first learning to Yodel. You should check out the video of her doing a blind audition at about 9 yrs. Old of the song Yodel Time. It is incredible.

Lovely reaction. As far as I'm aware, this is her only version of "Take On Me" - at least I've never seen another. It might just have been a try out of her new home studio recording equipment, which was bought for her, by her fans.

You definitely need to check out her at 18, she was on a Russian singing show that had a unique format, where she competed against 8 other professional Russian singers, with each week they had to do a song in a different genre (folk, rock, pop, grammy winner, etc). The singers (along with a different guest judge) ranked and scored each other. She had a few amazing performances, including the Elvis cover "Cant help falling in Love" (blew everyone's mind), the Way (the guest judge originally sang the song Diana sang), and The Crow (also amazing, very "Diana"). Also when she was earlier you should listen to "Rechenka" (she was 14), Blizzard, and Human (Rag and Bone cover, shows off her low tones and harmonics).

What I love about her cover of Vladimir Vysotsky's song "Capricious Horses" is that it brings together a song written by someone feeling powerless in the face of his addiction and Diana who in the past, most probably, felt powerless against her birth mother's physical and emotional abuse. She showed that she had the emotional credits to successfully interpret Vladimir's song
