Is it just me or does this wall look massive

It may be the upward angle of the camera.

This is my gym and yea it’s a pretty tall wall. Doing balance slab moves up there is genuinely terrifying

That looks like an intense balance climb!

Indeed. The boulder was meant to be a coordination one but since that's not my cup of tea I ended up breaking the move. Doing it a harder way but an easier way for my own climbing abilities :D

Every time I thought you were done the problem KEPT going. That look hard af.

It was......right from the get go, with the alternate beta to avoid the dyno till the last moves where you have to slide between two holds that are too near by one to the other and that are 80% friction free.

Loved this climb, the intended beta is a dynamic toe catch though !!

I know....but since I don't do new style of climbing anytime I can cheat my way through a dyno I grab it with great honor and pride ;p

Nice problem and solution. How tall are you? (So I can work out if I could do that too!)

In meters I'm 1mt60 so rather small for a dude and that makes me have to be creative to do certain movements that are not so straight forward if you don't have the right span for them.

What is the geometry component this video and/or your channel?
@geometryofbouldering4315
@geometryofbouldering4315 Жыл бұрын
Well.......when I started the channel my idea was to show a boulder then explain all the different intricacies of physics and centers of gravity and whatnot. I eventually dropped that idea when I made the first video and discovered my calm and collected way of talking made the whole thing feel kinda dull and not very interesting but kept the channel to share my climbing adventures that eventually got me into sharing this crazy idea I got of memorizing all the moves of a boulder to end up doing it with my eyes closed. And this year I got full on exploring this alternative way of climbing hoping it can motivate others to try it too as it really changes the way you feel on the wall :)

Well, the boulder was supposed to be a coordination move and it would be more hard to get it done the official way.....at least for someone like me that hates so much that style of climbing. The grade of the boulder is actually V6. It looks more easy than it is because I'm quite handy with balancy problems. And mind you that the first dish on the left part of the boulder I crimp it with my finger nails otherwise I wouldn't be able to be stable enough to reach the next hold.
