Sweet, we can finally see how well the fork style shocks hold up to some really tough riding over an extended period of time

Playing with spring weight is good. But if you're be jumping hard on this wheel as well, might wanna consider keeping the 70lb spring & adjusting it with lower weight oil. On the older mc forks without the multi adjustments, we used to adjust suspension with oil weight. Might wanna play with psi as well since its a different tire brand. Glad to see someone do some technical gnarlies with the Lynx

do they make lower than 5w? i think im gonna do 66lb and increase weight if needed
@scottsum13199 ай бұрын
@@trubttamI think there is 2.5wt. There's also the possible of mixing different weights. Suspension tuning isn't known as voodoo for nothing 😁. Regardless there's a whole different world out there, mainly for sportbike forks ofcos. Racetech is the specialist with custom valves too

Impressive riding! I’m tempted to remove my kickstand too but was afraid it helped w overall rigidity. Did u check for loose bolts esp around the suspension after riding? Just curious how they’re going to hold up. Thanx for posting it was a fun watch before I go for my Lynx ride. I’m loving mine after only a week w it, suspension is so good esp after riding my v2 Master over the past year+.

when i swapped the tire and suspension coils i had to remove everything but i didn't really check to see if any screws were loose. have a good ride, lynx is definitely a winner!

Matt! You got the Lynx. Congrat's and I absolutely love this video. I think you're the only one that can showcase a wheels offroad capability. You make it look so easy. Roger crashed my Lynx too before changing the tilt angle 🙂 Did the mudguard break?

Are EUCs like the Lynx trail legal? What kind of pushback do you get on the trail from bikers and hikers?
@trubttam9 ай бұрын
This isn't a national park or anything just a ton of trails made by local mtb riders, we help maintain the trails and honestly most of the mountain bikes go faster than us downhill and cause crazy brake bumps when they lock up the rear tire and skid. Some old dudes will mutter things under their breath as they pedal by but everyone is usually just amazed that we are out there and pretty stoked to see the jumps. Hikers don't care but uhh hikers are special sometimes and hike up downhill bike trails so watch out for that lol

Matt, did you give the stock torque pads a shot? why switch to the grizzla off the bat? Also, how did you like it compared to the extreme?

Yeah I tried the stock stuff at first but I don’t like change lol grizzlas just feel like home. I don’t like the extreme very much, I like the larger diameter wheels for sure

@@trubttam nice one thanks… I’ll check them out… did you rate the extreme over the lynx and would you still put the s22 in front for trails and jumps?
@trubttam9 ай бұрын
@@lunchymunchy2984for what I ride the smaller wheels like extreme/ v14/ Patton are just way too harsh of a ride. I want the bigger tire so I roll over things easier. For strictly downhill or doing tricks on the jumps the s22 pro is probably still king. The jump park has been closed since it’s been raining but I think the Lynx will do fine on the jumps it will just be a bit harder to do tricks with the added weight and size. At least leaperkim doesn’t have the weird pedal tiltback on steep jumps issue that Begode has tho.

Trub how much do you weigh? I am 195 lbs and ordered the 70lbs suspension. I like S22 suspension on the harder side (I have the 900lbs spring). We ride rocky trails like yours(not that extreme) in TO, so your advice is very relevant. Your channel has been the best resource for my riding experience. Thanks.
@trubttam9 ай бұрын
I'm about 175 not geared, you will probably like the 70lb if you liked the 900lb on the s22. I tried the 900lb on my s22 and went back to 750. I just did the spring swap to 66lb last night, it was probably easier than a tire change and the set was only $60. Have fun out there man, offroad is the best!
