I've found that being consciously aware of my own mortality has been key in keeping me grounded, thus keeping me in line with what is important in life.

With all respect: the need for more money in our life is closely connected to objective safety and the ability to solve many, sometimes very serious problems, not only a feeling.

Wonderfully insightful. I love the mind valley speakers and the fact that they are on KZbin! Thank you for sharing such inspirational information with those of us who may not be in a position to attend the classes of these motivators. What Srikumar says is so true we should know it without being told, but for some reason the "illusion of control" is so prevalent in our beliefs reminders are necessary and good to hear often!

1) stop trying to control your life, control the experience of your life. Zen like. 2) 2nd arrow is hit by mental chatter.

Biggest and most destructive mental model for me to always think that ‘i cannot so something because I am too old’. I have been doing this even when I was 18😐 just to give you the severity of my mental model.

I am now 65 years old, retired public officer. I thought then that mental chatter are mostly confused musing. Mr. Rao convinced me about the positive effect of mental chatter for creativity. Now, I have to examine the mental models that are not serving me well. Much thanks Mr. Rao. I plan to write against corruption and human rights violations. Mind Valley provides ideas and analysis on human nature that are essential background on my planned writings.

i heard you say in one of your talks that process is as important, if not more important, than the goal. However, what about others who want to thwart you in reaching your goals, or even in having an interesting 'process'?

Look out for number 47 around you. 4 is the number of Foundation, Framework, Structure and 7 is the number of Spirituality & Alignment to Dharma (Righteousness). So all Structure, Framework, Foundation which are poorly built on corruption, bad karmas, bribery, under the table kind etc whether Business, NGO, Politics, Religious or any form of Organisation are going to get tested between Oct 19 to Jan 20. Many structures are bound to fall and as Falsehood falls to build space for Truth to Prevail. So these are testing grounds, So trust your karma. Be positive & trust in God Astrologically every 33 years Pluto or Yam (Planet that governs Soul Growth) comes direct conjunction with Saturn or Shani (Planet that governs Karma). Mr, Rao is a very good speaker, Hes knowledge is lased with wisdom! but there are alternate ways of thinking, I f you dont try to control your life. In this country, then others will! your wife will become a nag! your boss will think you lack motavation, your kids will think your a wimp! The car salesman will take you to the cleaners, etc. but hes right, being self aggressive is realy not the way to happyness! but neather is doing nothing, and sinking to poverty!

Biggest diet mistake you feel good is need for growing age 30 years below more food need for body design water 3_5 liters drink in every day after 30 years marriage over few of them children also born in the family ,then after 2:1:1 ratio mentained then your weight is proportionally to your hight . Then you will be very happy in your life .2 parts food 1 part for water 1part for air this ratio is 2:1:1 who mentains positively he or she will be very happy life enjoyed itself. Diet is not problem in our life 45-50 years age comes then diet will be reduced itself .then body weight will be reduced 10 kgs -15 kgs 60-70 years weight reduced by over weight 15 kgs reduced average weight 10 kgs reduced then deceases not attract the body .then happy life you will enjoyable .yshk viswanatham MscBed.

That gut filled with yeast and parasites.... Don't trust him too much. He obviously can't even handle his own weaknesses of overeating and lack of movement and have willpower to have a healthy body without fungus and parasites (and old shit) in his gut.

Yea, I noticed that too. It's one of the basics of life, and if a person can't get somewhat of a handle on that, it's doubtful they have mastered much more than the art of speaking and perhaps a surface level positive attitude. And over a long period of observation, I have tried to notice the people that really impress me the most, and what it is about them that is different from the average person. They have something that average up-beat people don't, and an understanding of problems that gives more depth to their speeches. This guy does not have it. His vibes don't really impress me, although he is obviously a good speaker, and practices positive thinking. But there is no real power behind his words, nor is there a sense for me that he has been much more than a 'lucky' person, riding on a reasonably fortunate 'drift' like most people in 1st world countries. Tony Robins strikes me as that type as well. He has alot of excitement about him, and an obviously upbeat attitude, and he is darn good at what he does, but there is no real depth, no character, because it's all about what's in it for him. The common denominator of this type is that they appeal to the "get rich quick" or "transform your life in a few weeks [so you can then get rich]" crowd - those young enough or inexperienced enough to still see life on a surface level and believe that "change" is a matter of some quick affirmations and getting their motivation and attitude revved up by listening to motivational talks...the "go getter" crowd. It's in the difference between personality and character. Most people confuse the two, and it's why they get into relationships -or jobs - that fade, or crash in a few years. Yet no one under 30 [most likely even 40] even HAS character, because it's a long painful process and acquisition, where there are no shortcuts, and the normal everyday motivation plays no part it in, because it consists of what goes deeper than any sense of reward or accomplishment will motivate. It comes from what a person is and does when there's nothing in it for them.
