I recently applied for a job and they wanted someone who could use after effects, so I said I knew how to use it and the truth is that I have no idea LOL, so I have to learn it in a week, the basics, just in case they give me the job

Okay I'm watching your video, which is nice btw but I'm not learning after effects, what I mean is yes your teaching me how to motion tracking, keyframing and mask but what do all the tools do? All the menus do what again, what are the effects & presets window, how does the preview window work? Maybe it's because I'm not a beginner but would a real beginner pick up all this straight off the back? Anyway I'm just rambling while the video plays but I really just wanted to get that off my shoulders. Why is it so hard to find a full rundown of the program after effects, anyways if anyone knows of a rundown or breakdown for the program let me know please and thanks!

nice tutorial, straight and to the point. I would really recommend changing your mic to MONO instead of STEREO though.. using good headphones your voice kinda floats from right to left, pretty distracting

and to add to that, i really want you to make another episode maybe diving deeper into after affect because other tutorials really go on tangents or don't cover in detail what needs to be learned, especially not in the easy to learn (tone of voice) that you have. Lots of good information but I think the title is kind of deceptive. A true beginners tutorial, should be one where even if the person had 0 knowledge of after effects/video editing, theyd be able to follow. There's a lot of things that you mention here that require prior knowledge or understanding. While certain things could be figured out intuitively, not everyone is going to be able to. I'd change the title of the video to better reflect the prerequisite need of some video editing experience; the current title makes it sound like you can go into the video with no knowledge at all.

This is not a beginner tutorial. You basically assume that every beginner knows what parenting, pen tool, keyframe, transform properties, etc. are, which is a bad way of teaching.
