I wish there was a universal sign language. I would so learn that because I’m not American and I’d loveeee to be able to communicate with many deaf/hard of hearing people.

We also have our own sign language in germany and I want to learn it! I know a little bit because my best friends parents are deaf so I can say “hello” and “how are you?” and things like that, they’re very happy that I try to talk to them haha and I know cussing of course, her dad showed me some words 🥴😂
@SharonSharesASMR4 жыл бұрын
_.ohheybeauty._ xox That’s awesome! If you can learn the German alphabet in sign then you can spell words to them too. I know a few words in Thailand Sign Language and Australian Sign Language as well.

I really love this! like a lot! you are so creative and I absolutely love how you just made an asl asmr video. I feel like it helps "normalize" it, as in people hopefully won't look at others signing and think 'oh that's weird,' because it's just how some communicate. I took asl for a couple years and I loved it so I may be biased with why I enjoy this so much haha. but this is still amazing and original. keep it up!! :)))

Its incredible this language and not only like a language for deaf persons, even like a language for everypleople, like a neutral way yo comunicate with another that nota speak your own idiom.

When you point sideways for ''he'' or ''she'', are you meant to be pointing at the person you are talking about? What if you mean someone who isn't there, do you just point sideways and that's a general sign for those pronouns?

Even though ASL is very different than BSL this sign the same. The person is away from us so it makes sense both ways.

It’s great that you are inspired by ASL but if you knew any Deaf people or were familiar with the Deaf community, you would know that hearing people should NEVER teach sign language, even if you are CODA, only Deaf people should be teaching sign language. Please educate yourself about the Deaf community and you will come to understand.
@SharonSharesASMR8 ай бұрын
Hi James, you’re absolutely right. I spoke with some of my Deaf friends prior to making this video and they told me it is a controversy for sure and that some people might have a negative reaction. But the intention of this video is to entertain, help spread awareness that the Deaf community exists, and relax people. Not to be a replacement for learning the language as a whole.
